A succinct menu but everything looks attractive and not something easily found in chain restaurants— full of seasonal surprises. The fregola was recommended by the Sardinian person taking my order, with Bottarga (cured roe) fished from near his hometown. Although it looks like some people dislike the smell, personally I didn’t find it fishy at all. The tomato broth was perfect, flavorful and not overpowering. There were quite plenty of clams. Also loved the texture of fregola. The basaltic vinaigrette was slightly sweet and went well with the rocket and shaved Parmesan. Really appreciate the all day menu :D (was enticed by the focaccia deal but I was planning for proper dinner, despite it being abnormally earlier). Wish I’d been here sooner but it’s always bustling at peak hours. Looking forward to coming back again and trying new things, even for takeaway.

I had high expectations based on some of the positive reviews, the warm welcome, and the appealing menu. While the experience didn’t quite meet our personal tastes, we understand that food is highly subjective. We found the dishes to be a bit off from what we’re used to. The artichoke appeared to be missing the heart and was slightly undercooked, and the fish didn’t taste as fresh as we had hoped and seemed a touch underdone. That said, the service was attentive, and the host was a true gentleman. Although it may not be a place we would return to, others may enjoy it depending on their preferences.

Overall it was ok. I wouldn’t recommend it over other places in the area. The Salmon ravioli was extremely watery, never had so much water with ravioli, there also wasn’t that much salmon in it. The pasta dishes in general weren’t done to good execution, considering you’re paying £15+ for a plate you expect the quality to be good. The starters were good but considering cold cut meats and the burrata cheese doesn’t require cooking (just assembling) you can’t really go wrong with it. Overall not amazing, and extremely over priced for what you get.

Sunday 18th of Sept 2022: Me and my friends just got chucked out from this restaurant, because we had the audacity to complain about the Set Menu (£22 for two courses) main meal: The Lasagne. We came in and planned to have the 3 course meal (£25) and ordered a wonderful Rosé from the Provence (Maison Vincent). We ordered two courses to start. The starters were very nice and tasty and then my main course arrived - in my case "The Lasagne". It came and looked like a defrosted pre-packed local supermarket job. We complained and boy did the "owner or manager" go mad at as. He didn't take gladly to the complain. He immediately gave us the bill for the wine, claimed that we laughed at him (we did nothing more that the typical smirking that one does in disbelief) ... we didn't laugh, as that would indicate humour, and there was none. He said what do we expect for a £22 meal, well, don't offer it then. We were asked to pay for the wine, asked to leave and never come back, as well as to have a horrible rest of the day. He wished us twice a horrible day. He insulted my home town (Croatia, Split) and went on and on about ....as you can imagine. He even got his scales out with a slab of frozen lasagne to show us the weight (not sure why, as that does not mean anything to a customer). I dare say, if I had been a strong male he would have never dared to say some things! All in all: wow - stunned to even sharing something like this as I have been in London for 25 years and I have never experienced anything like it. There is always a 1st, as they say. Shame so so so much aggression! Where has the world gone! .... Sorry to the lengthy review, but I am still in shock and had to share ... not that it will make a difference, but we three might...

Ok. So good bits. Food was gorgeous. Nice portion size # not massive, but neither not enough. I had salt cod with olives in a pasta with tomato sauce. With it I had a large glass of Chianti. It was served quickly and was lovely and hot. Service. I was served quickly and offered a seat initially at a high table, but wasn't easy to sit at, so then offered a seat at equally high window seat. Bad bits. I literally had 1 dish - pasta and 1 glass of wine. A jug of tap water too. I was eating alone. I didn't ask for anything other than to place my order. When I went to pay my bill it came to over £30. I obviously knew the cost of the food and a drink and accepted that it was a little expensive, but to then add a service charge to a single diners bill I felt was...
