I went here with DW and we both ordered the desi breakfast. I got the dhaal, DW ordered the masala beans and we both got parantha. I really liked the karak chaii but would have preferred it with no sugar as I generally have no sugar in my tea. DW did not like the karak chaii as she prefers regular tea and would have liked that as an option. I liked the omelette but I have had better masala omelettes at home. It would have liked it if there was a more spicy option. I thought the dhaal was ok but nothing amazing. DW really liked it and found it flavoursome. I liked the masala beans as I have not had that before and thought it complimented the omelette nicely. I may have to try this at home :). The parantha was fine but I do not think it was freshly made as it tasted like it was made from frozen. The place looks good. I liked the lights and the taj mahal wallpaper. I really loved that it was served on a fake indian newspaper. Nice touch guys. In summary, I have had better parantha, dhaal and masala omelette at home. I really liked the masala beans and karak chaii. Overall everything was well cooked and the desi breakfast was nice but not amazing. I would recommend it as it was something different and worth a visit. I would comeback for tea and desserts but probably not the breakfast.

We came to get ourselves a drink I wanted to try the garam chocolate but they said they had run out. The server kindly offered me a taste of karak chaii to see if I liked it. Considering its described as a well brewed tea I thought it would be too strong of a flavour for me but I actually liked it! We also ordered the mango falooda, unfortunately as nice as it was apart from having the yellow colour it didn't really have a mango flavour. My fiancé enjoyed it still as it tasted nice but would have preferred when ordering a specific flavour to be able to have a prominent taste. I then got tempted to order a dessert I love kunafa so when I saw the kunafa cheesecake I was like great I love cheesecake too. But it was unfortunately disappointing, the cheesecake base was OK but I have had much better tasting cheesecake and the kunafa, either it didn't have enough of it on top to really give it the flavour I was expecting, or they just didn't make it sweet enough. So after one bite I did not eat anymore and I gave it to my parents once I got home, as the flavours just didn't mix well for me. I was eyeing up the gulab jamun cheesecake but I don't know if I will be disappointed with that too so did not order it. I feel I might stick to the drinks as I know they are definitely good

I've been coming to this branch for a couple of years now, and not much has changed — for better or worse. I ordered a falooda for £5 (a bit pricey considering you can get the same thing on Green Street for around £2.50). It wasn’t busy, but the drink still took nearly 18 minutes to arrive, which was just frustrating. I also tried the butter chicken roll… and honestly, it was just depressing. It came wrapped in a soggy paratha, but there was barely any butter chicken inside. The flavour wasn’t terrible, but the whole thing felt like a low-effort afterthought. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Staff were polite, though had very minimal interaction. The overall vibe was just… meh. Drink was decent, but for the price and wait, the whole experience fell a bit flat.

Where should I start with this place??? First of all the guy who is in charge is very rude and disorganized !! If I could I would give this place a 0 star rating but Google won't allow me to. I went to this store to enjoy a nice desi breakfast, me and my family but sadly we were served 4 times by 4 differnt people and were given the wrong order 5 times. By this time it had been 1 hour - 1 hour and 10mins which is a long time specially when you have kids with you too!!

When I went over to speak with the manager he tried to hide away as soon as he heard me. He had forced a young female colleague to speak to me rather then himself. All the members of staff were female and inexperienced that Sunday, whenever I mysef had asked for the correct order or spoke of a issue regarding how long will the manager be? they kept laughing at customers, acting immaturely and being on their phone!! Eventually the manager had come to discussed the matter who didn't let me finish my sentence and turned around and told one of the female colleague to "Give him his refund" without even hearing what I had to say, the so called Asian 5'5 skinny, male, short hair, no bread going my the name of "SID" Whilst smiling in my face when discussing my issue had no interest what so ever.

As other customer were coming in and had seen this take place they started to leave and other customers before me started to complain how their order was also wrong. One customer was given the wrong order who was Allergic to a ingredient was actually served just that!!

Based on that matter Alarm bells are ringing and I had to take my family and friends out of there .. The owners who own this place need to take responsibility and bring in well trained and experienced staff.. You pay peanuts to your staff so I suppose that's the experience your customer will receive & you really need to get rid of this SID who I know did actually give me a fake name due to his staff were laughing and told me that's...

I have never been so disappointed with Chaiiwala up until today. This branch is the absolute worst. I was served by a member of staff named Costa who had the worst customer service, all I had asked for was to wrap up the Chaii's that I had paid for as it is a 40 minute drive home for me so I did not want any of it to spill. From the get go it was a straight NO! It baffled me how someone could say no to a simple request as they were offering takeaway service but wrapping a hot drink in cling film for a customer did not fall under that service. She then proceeded to tell me how her manager will watch the cameras and ask her what she was doing as their branch does not wrap the drinks up which was very funny to me because I can see her colleague behind her wrapping up the drinks for delivery drivers and also the other branches happily provide this service with no complaints. Another customer had to get involved just to tell her to wrap the drink. She then told me she will only give me the cling film if I wrap the drink MYSELF. To be fair I was more than happy to do it myself to prevent spillage in my car whilst driving.

Dear customers drive a few minutes down and visit the Ilford or Walthamstow branch as this branch has employees who show attitude for no reason when it is part their job. Chaiiwala staff please do not work there if you are not happy with your job it is as simple as that because it ruins a customers day for no reason when all I wanted was Tea. (Chaiiwalla please hire staff who are not lazy and actually enjoy their job). First time visiting this branch and would not...

First off all, I was a regular customer and out of loyalty, I've let things slide when things went wrong, but todays experience has left me no choice.

We ordered our food at 12. After 20 mins of waiting, we asked for an update and was told it won't be long. There were only two/three other customers/family at the branch, so they were not busy inside. By half past, and two agitated kids later and one who is autistic, we were losing our patience and asked again, still being told it won't be long.

However, we could see staff were prioritising deliveries and not us. Drivers coming in/out, also, customers who came after us were served before us!

By 12.40, i had enough and asked for a takeaway. We were out of the door by 12.45 after i expressed my disappointment to the staff. I could've said more, but I didn't want to infront of my kids who were already upset.

The customer service was poor. We only got a sorry and no solutions or offer of compensation for the wait. By the time we got home, the food was cold and most certainly wasn't worth our time or the £25 bill. Very dissapointed with the branch as it was never like this.

Its clear as day that they don't have adequate staffing to manage deliveries aswell as branch customers, and they've let the standards drop significantly, which I've noticed for a while.

Its a shame they've let themselves down in this way.

I won't be going back until things improve and hope the owner offers staff better training and employs more staffing as...
