Chaiiwala — Restaurant in London

A couple of months ago, my friend read a great review about Chaiwala, but from another branch, so she convinced me to go to our nearest branch in Hammersmith. So off we went, expecting a great 'discovery'. First bad sign: She wanted a Chai Latte, and was told there was none at the moment. (Like, why? They ran out of the pre-made powder?). So we settled for a Karak Chaii. And yes, it was from a powder. I found it tasted okay, but my friend couldn't drink it as she found it too sweet. The second bad sign was that the girl attending us wasn't very friendly (it was a Sunday afternoon btw), so she could have engaged with us more, seeing that we were the only two people there, and maybe mentioned that we could order it without sugar, for example. We had told her it was our first time in a Chaiwala, but we just got a blank face. The third bad sign was that the place was really small. The fourth bad sign was that it was freezing inside with really cold air blasting through from above, so we weren't in the least comfortable and cosy. The fifth and most important bad sign was that we didn't like the food. We each ate a Karachi Bun Kebab, and seriously, the meat patty and burger was so small, it was a joke. It didn't even taste good either. I also ordered a Samosa Chaat and it was nothing like the picture in the menu: the samosas were entirely smothered in different sauces all over them, making it a disgusting and gooey mess to eat. I did my best and took some bites, but it was just like eating several sauces, and I really really hated it. And this is somebody who loves samosas, but where were the samosas? Smothered in sauce!. My friend had also ordered something else, which I can't remember what it was, but I think it was the Masala Chips, but she didn't like it either, because again it had too much sauce over it, again making it one big gooey mess.
