Do not recommend for birthday events. I booked to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday here. I booked through the events organisers and paid for a package which included food drinks and play time.

I do not recommend booking this place for events as such. Our reservation was for 19:30 and our guests came and settled in the booth around 19:40 by the time which the game time already starts running from the moment your reservation is and you need to enter everyone's names and emails on the system which takes time if you are a big group which wasn't a problem for us because we were willing to buy more game time. However little did we know that 10 minutes after at 20:00 we were told we had to give our last orders in 15 minutes because the bar and place was closing. This ruined the whole thing for us because we had only just started playing and we were told they would be closing early because there were no reservations so they decided to close early. We were unable to order drinks or food after 8:15 which was very frustrating as we had finished the pre order drinks and our guests wanted cocktails which they couldn't order.

I don't think it's acceptable to close early when you know you have an event booked but this venue didn't care.

Our game time finished at 9 normally but when it came to 9 the whole venue was empty because guests were told they were closing early and therefore had to leave. We felt very awkward and hadn't even had the chance to cut our cake the whole venue was empty baring in mind they normally close at 22:00. We were told we could be given a little extra time to cut our cake because we complained about the whole thing. This was awkward because they said they would ask one of their staff if they'd be willing to stay extra for us... Why should we be dependent on a staff member having to stay an extra time..

When we were leaving there were two people that were trying to come in as online it said they were open. They also turned back and left.

The whole experience was ruined for us and most annoyingly ruined the experience for my partner who we just wanted to celebrate and have fun however we were there discussing why the venue was closing early.

I would only recommend for casual occasions but not for events. The food was nice and the game was fun it's a shame we were treated the way we were and they didn't care that they had an...

My most recent visit to Clays wasn’t at my usual Covent Garden spot but at the Clays City venue on Moorgate, and wow—it was a vibe from start to finish. The place was bustling when we arrived, the music was banging, and the energy felt electric.

We’d booked a play & food package, which included 40 minutes of clay shooting and a credit toward food plus complimentary shots. While it was great, here’s my tip: if you’re two people, don’t do less than 60 minutes—you need time to get used to the screens, aim, and actually enjoy the games .

We ordered drinks via tablets—super fast and efficient—and the shots appeared while we were mid-game. Next up, we had one of their pizzas (probably margherita), some sliders, and fries. Let me be real: the food nearly stole the spotlight. Quality, delicious, and I’d honestly come back just for the grub.

The DJ on duty—who seemed Latino or Hispanic—was an actual delight. He was dancing, vibing to music, and even personally delivered us shots and chatted with us about his love of music. It added such a fun, human touch to the evening.

They squeezed us into a table that fit our group after they noticed we had some bags and needed space, which felt thoughtful. Throughout our time there, at least three staff checked in regularly to see how we were doing. Friendly, attentive service = what I live for.

The setup? Clean, modern, beautifully designed. The venue spans two floors with private and semi-private shooting pegs—each peg comes with a real shotgun and immersive four-metre-wide screen showing high-tech games that feel like countryside sports brought indoors . Perfect for adults, no kids, and great for date nights, work socials, or casual fun with friends.

Sure, it’s not cheap if you’re playing regularly, but used as a fun treat, it's brilliant. And honestly? Clays shooting was a fresh, fun alternative to my old go-tos like bowling or mini-golf.

If you’re in London and craving something unique to do—this hands-down should be on your list. Drinks, games, food, vibes, music — it all hits just right. Can’t wait to go back and try another flavour of slider while...

I’ve been meaning to check out clays for a few weeks, having gone past it a few times on the bus. My wife and I finally got a chance to go and WOW! It did not disappoint. This is going to be a REVIEW.

Coming through the doors, you get the sense that this is the kind of place that thinks of the details. Every inch was so well thought out and created such a great vibe.

Now, I know what you’re thinking: “is this one of those places that looks great for Instagram but doesn’t actually do what it says it does well?”

Not. At. All. It does both! The shooting games were so much fun and instantly brought a smile to our faces. They looked great, were challenging, but also easy for less experienced shooters to enjoy. The games are all clay pigeon shooting with some very cool rifles (real and then made Bluetooth?? What is this wizardry!), and is very responsive and accurate. Each game is different and engaging, and keeps the competition up.

When we were done shooting we had a really nice time watching all the other games going on while we had our food and drink, which was unsurprisingly exceptional.

Cocktails we had: Shooting Jacket (pairs really well with shooting, believe it or not), jacks orchard (ask how it’s made and try it!), and the Spicy 50 (it’s actually spicy fyi).

Food we had: truffle parmesan fries (SO good with actual truffle shavings), giant green olives (actually massive), corn ribs (these were very fun- pro tip, don’t try to eat it like a carrot… they’re like ribs), the sliders (what’s not to love), and the British calamari (our favourite).

My wife and I went for a date night just the two of us and had a great time, and are already planning to come back with groups of friends.

Honesty, we were just blown away. Absolutely loved it.

Also, I always appreciate a nice loo. They got that...

My husband and I had a great date here today. We got to Clays a bit early where we were greeted by a nice and helpful host. To start we sat in the bar area and ordered some drinks and food. We got truffle popcorn, humus, "KFC", and whitebait. Everything we got was delicious and incredibly filling. To drink we had a spinning disc shot, a virgin mojito and a Camden Pale Ale. After enjoying our food and first round of drinks it was time to go shoot. The attendant came and showed us how to play. We had the best hour. As a couple, one hour was the perfect amount of time. There were lots of games to play and we thoroughly enjoyed each one that we played. It was a fun bonding experience for us and a chance to do something a bit different then a normal date activity. One thing I liked about Clays is that if you want to have a night with a lot of drinking you can. On the other hand, if you don't want to drink for whatever reason you can come, enjoy a mocktail and still have a really fun night. We look forward to coming back, either just ourselves or with family and friends. Happy to be able to add somewhere new to our rotation!
