Amazing restaurant with fantastic cocktails and food! We visited Mint Leaf for a dinner at a Saturday night. Upon our arrival we were absolutely amazed by the interior of the restaurant. The grand columns, the bronze statues, the exquisite dim-lit restaurant and the illuminated bar provided a mysterious, out-of-this-world feeling. We ordered two of their signature cocktails and learnt that each cocktail on the menu tells a tale from Indian history! We ordered the ‘Sunderban’ and ‘The Lost Treasure Cocktails’. The first was served in the cutest mushroom-shaped glass I have ever seen 🍄, while the latter was served in a treasure box. Our waiter patiently waited for us to get ready with our camera to film as he opens the box. 🙏🏻 I had a friendly chat with the bartender, and he informed me that all types of Gin they had, had been infused inhouse. How cool is that! The food was very high quality and full of flavour. We ordered the Lamb Kebab and the Jackfruit Kofta. Normally I am not a fan of lamb, but this one tasted like heaven! As for the dessert, we ordered the Mango Mousse Cake and the Chocolate Cake. Both were amazingly smooth and delicious, not too sweet and not heavy. If you are looking for the perfect place to celebrate Mother’s Day or spend a romantic date night with your significant other, Mint Leaf Lounge is definitely a great choice!

This place is not for me given the amount of other vegetarian Indian restos I have tried. If I could would probably rate as 2.5 . We spent 50 each for starter, main and 1 drink. Like most Indian food in the city its over priced for my tastes given the quality and price in zones 4 onwards. The menu has 3 veg starters, 2 veg mains and 5 veg sides. The starters were OK. Nothing stand out. Bhel puri was good but I think it's hard to get wrong. I found the aloo tikki quite dry. It tasted like a ragda petit without the chickpea base. I wished it had the chickpea. I really liked both mains. The kofta was really good. It's on the sweet side so be warned if you don't like sweet mains. The paneer was good and reminded me of a chilli paneer starter. Tried the dal makhni which I liked but not as good as Dishoom. We also had the chocolate dessert. It came with vanilla ice cream. I did not like it. It was quite bitter which was not an issue. The problem for me was the texture. It was not smooth on the palate. It felt like there was too much gelatine (which made me realise I forgot to check if it was vegetarian!). It was one of the worst chocolate desserts I have had. My advice is to avoid the chocolate dessert. I am sure the traditional Indian desserts are fine.

I visited Mint Lounge with my partner for dinner. The interior was absolutely stunning, and the food and drink were first class. The venue has a stylish restaurant area with wooden space dividers for more intimate dining experience, a lovely cocktail bar area and a champagne mezzanine bar that gives a stunning view to the ground-floor restaurant and the bar. The staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes and the cocktails. I went for the ‘Lamb Seekh Kebab’ as an appetiser which was lamb mince served on a skewer along with some salad. It was perfectly seasoned, moderately spicy and full of flavour. I tried the ‘Bhuna Khargosh’ which was slow-cooked rabbit with spicy Indian gravy. Normally I don’t eat rabbit but wanted to try something different that night and what a great choice it was! The spicy sauce went perfectly well with the rabbit and the meat was so crumbly it melted in my mouth. The Mango Mousse Cake was a perfect choice to finish the night. It tasted just as good as it looked.

Me and my wife decided to hold our reception party in the private events section (Mezannine floor). We went to Mint Leaf one evening, we fell in love with the food & excellent cocktails (Thank you Das!), the amazing service (Jack), the lovely decor & Ambience. As we were looking around for Reception venues for our close & intimate gathering, within minutes, we both looked at each other and decided, we want to hold it here! We got in touch with Mint Leaf instantly receiving extensive information on what could be offered, instantly, we continued our lovely journey with Mint Leaf. From then on, I constantly was in communication with Teena & Vikas with regards to customising things to make our most special of evenings, even more special, every question we ever asked, was always met with a positive reply, nothing was ever declined, it was a fantastic journey, leading up to the big evening itself. We had many food tastings, drinks tastings, music selection & scoping out the room itself, Vikas even showed us around to ideal spots for car parking, such was the personal level of support we received at every opportunity! The day before the big event, I went to see both Teena & Vikas to iron out final details, as expected, they were too kind and always bent over backwards, ensuring my evening was going to go fantastically well, all of my questions, instructions & requests, where met down to the tee. The night before the big evening, Vikas was kind enough to store the cake for us overnight, saving us the hassle of bringing it on the big night itself! Come the big evening, My sister, Vikas, Jack and team had setup the room, making it look lovely, with the perfect setting for cake, drinks, food, dance floor, surface floor, for everything! All needs where highly met! Upon entry, my adorable little neice threw flower petals on the stairs as we made our grand entrance, to walk in to a standing ovation! The desired music was played, which then transitioned directly into our first dance, it was a grand entry and we both felt magical! Vikas was there on the evening of the event and he did anything possible to ensure we where at complete ease. As the night went on, the party began, the service was outstanding, Nitin, Praveen & Especially Jack, took care of our esteemed guests, ensuring their plates where filled & drinks were never empty! They took orders and brought the food within minutes, it was outstanding service, all night long, the 3 gentleman took complete care of us, we had a stress free evening! It went PERFECT. I even requested a special dietry request an hour before the scheduled start time - a no-turmeric diet, to which is extremely difficult, within Indian food, however, the Chef & Vikas made somethimg, to ensure, ALL my guests where comfortable and had a lovely evening. The whole evening was simply specatacular, we could not find 1 fault, even if we wanted to, it was simply spectacular. Thank you Teena, for all your assistance during organising the event, from December till the day before, your assistance was Key, in ensuring we got everything we wanted! Thank you Vikas, for all your hard work, assistance & meeting all my requests, including my customised menu's, flower petals, music, food preparations, we didnt event think about a picture slideshow, so thank you very much for making this possible too & on the night itself, you supported me and my wife & ALL our guests, splendidly & ensured everything was accomadated, we also must note how you went above and beyond, we didnt expect the flowers on the cake table, but to see them on the table, it gave it that even more special touch. Thank you Jack, from the first time we went to Mint Leaf, till the night itself, you did anything and everything we ever requested & ensured our guests where extremely Happy!

Thank you Mint Leaf team, for making our special moment, even more special, we certainly will be back regularly to enjoy the wonderful food & drinks!!

Thank...

If you are looking for a place to enjoy some delicious Indian cuisine with a modern twist, look no further than Mint Leaf in London. This restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are sure to please your taste buds and satisfy your cravings. I visited Mint Leaf with my wife last week and we had a wonderful experience. Here are some of the highlights of our meal:

We started with some refreshing mocktails: Peach Passion and Illusion. The Peach Passion was a fruity blend of peach and passion fruit puree, fresh lemon juice, apple juice and pineapple juice. It was sweet, tangy and refreshing. The Illusion was a light and fizzy drink made with lychee puree, fresh lemon juice and soda water. It was a perfect palate cleanser. The drinks were served in some funky glasses.

For starters, we ordered Bhel Puri Chat, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Charcoal Lamb Chops and Crispy Kekada. The Bhel Puri Chat was a crunchy and tangy snack made with puffed rice, wheat crisp and spiced chickpea tossed with onion and tamarind. It was a bit too dry for our liking and could have used more tamarind and yoghurt.

The Lamb Seekh Kebab was a succulent and spicy dish made with lamb leg spiced with ginger, chilli and mint sauce. It was tender, juicy and flavourful.

The Charcoal Lamb Chops were simply divine. They were cooked to perfection on a charcoal grill and packed with flavour. They were smoky, spicy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

The Crispy Kekada was a crispy soft-shell crab dish that my wife loved. It was crunchy, juicy and seasoned well.

For mains, we had Lamb Rogan Josh, Malabar Prawn, Lamb Biryani, Dal Tarka and Naan. The Lamb Rogan Josh was a rich and hearty dish made with braised leg of lamb with brown onion, tomato and Kashmiri chilli. It had a deep red colour and a complex flavour. It was spicy, savoury and satisfying. The Malabar Prawn was a terrific dish made with tiger prawns cooked in curry leaf, ginger, mustard and coconut sauce. It had a creamy texture and a fragrant aroma. It was sweet, sour and spicy. The Lamb Biryani was a blend of aromatic basmati rice, kewara water, saffron and mint. It was fluffy, fragrant and filling. The Dal Tarka was a simple but tasty dish made with cumin garlic tempered mix yellow lentils. It was smooth, buttery and comforting. The Naan breads were fresh and tasty. We had butter naan and garlic naan that went well with the curries.

For desserts, we had Mango Mousse and Basundi. The Mango Mousse was a sweet, creamy and tangy dessert that captured the essence of mango in every spoonful. It was light, airy and refreshing. The Basundi was a rich, creamy Indian sweet or dessert that’s made with whole milk and flavoured with fragrant spices such as cardamom, saffron and pistachio. It was thick, smooth and indulgent.

The food at Mint Leaf is Halal so you can enjoy it without any worries. The service was excellent especially Julius who explained each dish and shared his recommendations. He was friendly, attentive and professional.

The venue is vibrant and elegant just like its food. It has a stylish decor with dark wood furniture, dim lighting and colourful accents. It also has a bar area where you can enjoy some cocktails or mocktails.

Parking: For parking in the evening, Julius recommended parking on Coleman Street or Gresham Street which are both a 5-minute walk from the restaurant.

Mint Leaf is a great place to enjoy some authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary twist. It offers a variety of dishes that cater to different preferences and palates. It is also suitable for different occasions such as romantic dates, family dinners or business meetings. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food or wants to try...

I brought my mother in law to the restaurant as it was a special occasion and she loves Indian food. From the pictures online the restaurant seemed classy which we thought would be a nice touch for my Mother in law as was a special occasion. We found the restaurant decor very nice on first impressions and the lady at reception very welcoming. Once inside, we were situated really close next to another table we thought this was odd with the other table murmuring the same thing we we’re thinking when the restaurant was 80% empty. Upon being seated we (party of 3) noticed that the temperature in the restaurant was below normal, we understand their is a cost of living crisis but to have guests paying good money for food to sit in a freezing cold restaurant is not it. Now on to the food…As I had checked the menu before hand I was quite interested in getting the 3 course menu which comes with a cocktail. However we were only given the main menu and drinks menu. When I asked for the 3 course menu that includes the cocktail the waiter looked at me like I had 3 heads and said they didn’t have that, I then explained that I had seen it online, he then proceeded to come back a few minutes later calling it something else to which I replied “So you do have the 3 course menu” to me that in itself is very money grabbing how can you blatantly say that you don’t have something when your online website says otherwise? Very weird behaviour and not what I would expect from a city restaurant. The main menu was very bare so bare we had to ask if we could get some samosas which were not on the menu to which we were told he has to check with the chef. My partners main of chicken was very tough but dessert was pleasant. Food was overpriced, waiter was a liar and was freezing cold so will not...
