Horizon 22 is an impressive addition to London’s skyline, setting a new standard for skyscrapers in the city. Nestled within the vibrant Bishopsgate area, Horizon 22 offers a distinctive experience that combines innovative design, breathtaking views, and modern amenities, making it a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike.

The building’s architectural design is sleek and cutting-edge, seamlessly blending with the urban landscape while standing out with its unique aesthetic. One of the primary highlights is the public viewing gallery located on the 58th floor. From this vantage point, visitors are treated to panoramic, unobstructed views across London, including iconic landmarks like the Shard, Tower Bridge, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and beyond. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide an immersive experience, making it feel as though you are floating above the city, taking in its grandeur from every angle.

In addition to the views, Horizon 22 also offers thoughtfully designed amenities. The spacious gallery includes comfortable seating areas, making it ideal for relaxing and enjoying the scenery at leisure. Unlike many high-rise viewpoints that charge an entry fee, Horizon 22 is entirely free to the public, which is a rare and commendable feature that makes it accessible to everyone. This open-door policy aligns with the city’s dedication to inclusivity and culture, allowing all visitors to appreciate the beauty of London from a fresh perspective.

With its sustainable construction practices and innovative design, Horizon 22 has quickly become an architectural gem and an inviting destination for those wanting to experience London from above. Whether you are a photography enthusiast, a tourist, or a Londoner with a love for the city, Horizon 22 offers a unique space that encapsulates the energy, beauty, and spirit of...

Horizon 22 is an absolute must for any London itinerary. Located on the 58th floor of 22 Bishopsgate, it offers breathtaking panoramic views across almost the entire city (with only a limited view to the east). The high-speed elevator whisks you up in seconds, and best of all—entry is completely free!

Security is tight and very professional—think airport-style checks, but well-organized and efficient. The space itself is enclosed, but that doesn’t detract from the stunning views. It really gives you a sense of the scale of London and makes it easy to spot key landmarks.

Reservations are essential to save disappointment (although many say they have been able to turn up and obtain a ticket on the day we did see some people being turned away), and you’ll need to book about a month in advance, but it’s well worth the planning.

The number of visitors is managed perfectly—just enough to give it a lively atmosphere, but not overcrowded. You can still take great photos and enjoy the view without feeling rushed.

Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout. One member of our group isn’t great with heights, but they still enjoyed the visit thanks to the calm and comfortable environment.

There’s a small café with reasonable prices and clean toilets on site, which is always appreciated. While there’s not much else to do apart from take in the views—and the space itself feels a bit like a modern office floor—it’s still a fantastic way to spend 45 minutes.

It would be nice to have some visual guides or info panels about what you’re looking at, and it’s a shame you can’t really see East London, but these are minor points.

Overall, Horizon 22 is a brilliant (and free!) way to see the city from above. Highly recommended for both first-time visitors and seasoned...

We were quite impressed with how smooth the entire process was. We were very lucky to get a ticket with only one day’s notice, but I believe this was an exception, so I would recommend checking their website as they release tickets two weeks in advance. Booking ahead is a bit of a gamble weather-wise, but even on a cloudy London day, we still had an amazing view.

The team in the lobby managed our group of five efficiently, scanning QR codes without any issues. An elevator takes you directly to the viewing platform, which is spacious, clean, and well-designed. There’s a café where you can grab a coffee, cake, or snacks while enjoying the views.

One of the best parts is that they don’t allow too many people up at once, so it never feels crowded. We had plenty of space to move around, no queues, and could take in the views of London from multiple angles without feeling rushed. We stayed for around 30 minutes before taking the elevator back down, and the experience felt relaxed throughout.

I received a survey afterwards asking if I would pay for the service. At the moment, Horizon is completely free, and I genuinely hope it stays that way. It would be great if it remains accessible for Londoners and visitors alike, funded or sponsored like many of our museums, rather than turning into another expensive attraction. Free, inclusive spaces like this are part of what makes London special, and it would be a shame to lose that.

Overall, Horizon is a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it for a fresh perspective on London without the crowds or high costs typical of other big-city...
