Clipper Bar — Restaurant in London

Absolute poor service! Wanted to book for a table of 9 (mainly elderly people) told I couldn’t do this and if I did there would be a minimum charge of £400 minimum spend and a fee of £8 per person to cut a cake! After 6 days of trying to contact them and ruining my plans further they advised as if they’re doing me a favour by removing the minimum spend when that should not be the case and reducing the cake cutting fee to £5 per person. Seems as though this subpar establishment is just about monetary gain but lacks any level of good customer service or hospitality. They are willing to let 9 pay customers walk away for a made up cake cutting fee that doesn’t exist anywhere in the policy or terms and conditions. It's a lovely bar and the staff are nice, but too attentive, constantly hovering around it's too much. We ordered a selection of food including the popcorn chicken with sweet and sour sauce. The chicken came and was very dry, no side sauce When we asked where it was we were told it had been put on the chicken already - we couldn't see it. We sent it back, when it came back it wasn't much better. The mini fish cod bites and chips came with 1 chip.

Absolutely dreadful service! It's evident that this establishment is fixated on financial gain, lacking any form of decent customer service or hospitality. Astonishingly, they're willing to let go of willing-to-pay customers due to an arbitrary cake cutting charge, which is stated nowhere in their policies or terms.
