Eighteen Sky Bar — Restaurant in London

This bar is all about experience and was so stunning with views and fine cocktails but there’s a little concern I should share. So I booked table for two yesterday at 5 to celebrate my partners birthday and they gave me the best table in the bar but a Asian waitress who was serving us was not trained to class of bar. Her first question she asked me was “ are you gujrati ?“. Like she gave a strange look and she didn’t even ask if we are celebrating something or any occasion as I clearly mentioned the occasion during booking. I asked for water which came after 10 minutes so I had to look for another staff member for help and they really quick and polite. Then I spoke to a senior staff member about the occasion and he offered free shots which were really good but that waitress came to serve and didn’t even gave wishes but other staff member did. Amazing place for a quick quiet drink alone or with friends. The decor is modern and simplistic, and not over the top. The window seats allow for a clear view of Canary wharf which is a stunning area to look at day or night. Unfortunately due to the bars location, you have less of a view or other popular areas of London like Westminster. The staff and bartenders are well trained and very polite and operate at very high standards. The drinks menu is has great range and for a roof terrace the prices are acceptable and understandable. The cocktail menu in particular is quite inventive and worth a try. All in all another one of London's great sky bars and why not the tallest, it is certainly one that is worth a visit. We have booked to room me and my colleague. At check in they stated our booking is cancelled and we don’t have a booking. We requested for official email and to do fresh booking. Response was: can’t send you an email today and we need to check availability for fresh booking. Staff were not much thoughtful and pro-active. I requested if there is any booking happen after the cancelled booking. And after second search they found our names. What a hotel?! We would have gone somewhere else searching for a hotel while we have a booking in the system and without a proof the staff stated it is cancelled.
