Market Brasserie — Restaurant in London

I came here with a friend as goodbye-dinner before I returned home, and it was such an enjoyable experience! The menu has a good variety of options, many of which were tempting, but we finally opted for the asparagus risotto, duck breast, a side of truffled parmesan chunky chips and an eton mess and tiramisu for dessert. We also got some popcorn on the house, which was a curious treat. The risotto was delightful and creamy, with enough asparagus and lovely dollops of cheese. The duck breast had an intense fatty flavour well complemented by the gravy, it was properly cooked and juicy. The chips, which came with high quality mayo and ketchup too, had a clear truffle taste and were nicely crunchy outside while soft inside. The tiramisu looked good, although certainly not the traditional style. The eton mess I had was also definitely a house-style, but it was still very much delicious and beautifully presented. The prices seemed quite reasonable for the quality and portions provided. The tables were clean and big; overall the restaurant had a great ambience and image, and the temperature was reasonable. The views were definitely also a huge plus, especially since we got to see the sunset develop as we enjoyed our meal. The moment the lights on the table lit up was also quite lovely. Went to go in the hotel to our friends around lunch time the restaurant was very empty

Most staff unhelpful We pulled tables together and then we were told by a power hungry male staff sorry cant sit there due to safety

Im a full time investor and there was no risk fire escape very clear and little to no people in restaurant.

We moved tables and 2 ladys were eating for a 4 start hotel ot whatever it maybe the waiter stood there didnt even offer help ladys to transfer there food over

1 girl was niece the rest looked like just didnt want be there and give pool quality service

Then there was a automatic tip to bill absolutely crazy expect a tip for bad service

Another person tried get in restaurant and they said sorry to busy id bet there was 4 maybe 5 table around 15 people max in restaurant

Turning people away when empty tables

I hope the owner can see this how mad talking about reducing income it would cost most in wages with poor quality staff that font want to work

I never leave bad reviews but this was not even worth a 1 for service and...

Market Brasserie is a restaurant with a lovely view that provides good quality food at a fair price. The food was well presented, tasted well and arrived in good time - I had a mushroom soup, poached cod, creme brulee and a selection of sorbets / ice creams to round things off. I did notice a theme of edible flowers which made a guest appearance in all 3 courses (I'd probably eaten a bouquet by the time I'd finished!).

The main reason why I have rated this 5* is due to the service - during the course of the meal, there was a minor misunderstanding, which was promptly resolved and a glass of dessert wine was provided as a gesture of goodwill.
