American tourist recovering from emergency surgery at London Royal Hospital. The food here is okay but not a lot of variety so I thought I would test my barely working legs and get some takeaway. First problem is I had no cash or credit cards so I needed to use Apple Pay - no problem, Coffee Republic is properly wired. Second, I’m walking in off the street with a kind of unsteady gait wearing pajama pants, would they even let me in? No problem, smiles all around. I bought a really delicious caprese sandwich for one meal and a chocolate croissant for another, along with some fruit juice. Took it back to my room and had it for lunch and dinner, quite delicious. The sandwich was meant to be heated before being eaten but I didn’t really have an option for that so just packed it in cold, and was happy. No reason this place should get anything other than five stars. If I could make one improvement I’d like to see a better selection of fruit juices. Maybe they were there and I just couldn’t see them. Anyways tiny storefront, not much seating inside, less outside, so this needs to be your takeaway spot. Should have gotten a coffee because reviewing a coffee shop on food only is a little lame, but man I am still really whipped from my surgery. Sorry!

So many times I was around this place but never had time to go inside until today. First of all the place is very nicely decorated has plenty of space , and its own "vibe" also happy staff as it seemed to me. All the drinks on offer cold and hot are clearly displayed on the big boards on the wall in front of your eyes so you dont have to ask the staff stupid questions. You can ask them their opinion "what is hot today in your menu ? " and they will advice you ;) sandwiches and sweets are also displayed in front of you as soon as you walk in so you can start away wondering what you fancy today . I like that . I like every idea which offer simple choice for the customer becuase then the process of making decision is a pleasure and you dont waste your time. You can also spend more time in this place as toilet and wifi is available and I would give this place 5 starts but I cannot because of prices of sandwiches and panninis and the fact that you have to pay more for them if you want to eat inside. There is Greggs on the other side of the street and prices are half of what you have to pay here. That is the only let down for me. I do recommend this place for others .

I emailed Coffee Republic as part of a compassionate campaign encouraging cafĂ©s to stop charging extra for plant-based milk — a small but meaningful step toward sustainability and inclusivity. In response, I received the shockingly unprofessional email shown in the screenshot. Rather than addressing my concern politely or clarifying their policy, they replied with sarcasm, told me to “do my own research,” and accused me of being a “sheep.” Even if they don’t charge extra (which isn’t clearly stated anywhere), this is not how any business should respond to customer feedback. Respect and professionalism matter — and sadly, both were missing here.

The taste of everything I've ever gotten has been really nice be it a panini or drink however, I have to give it 2 stars for 2 reasons - I think the panini's are overpriced considering the size of them I have been going there since I've been working in the area and it's been about 6 months now, they say small local businesses get a discount however I informed them of where I work and on 3 occasions the staff, particularly Mohammed, respond as if I'm after favours or I'm lying and I work with people everyday so that is not how you're supposed to talk to paying customers. I honestly would go elsewhere but its the closest coffee shop to my office & I genuinely do like some of the panini's so I end up going back but it's unfair.

Overall, the quality of the food and drink is good but based on cost and staff behaviour, it's 2...
