Located on the main road literally round the corner of Whitechapel station and right opposite royal London hospital. Just down the road from the well known Costa coffee you guys gotta try this place. It’s a nice little cosy speciality coffee shop with a small seating area inside and when sunny has seats outside. The staff are very friendly and are experienced in the history/process of coffee beans they use and sell. The do have offers, as I was contemplating purchasing the coffee beans they said if you buy a bag of beans you get the coffee for free!! So I tried it before I bought the product which was absolutely gorgeous!! The mocha had notes of chocolate, toffee and slight nuttiness from the amaretto, lovely and creamy with the oat milk. Added bonus with the latte art as I know it’s harder for art using dairy alternatives lolz. Definitely recommend trying it I bought the larger coffee beans bag at £35 including your free cup of coffee, made it at home and can say truly enjoyed the taste and quality of the coffee. A great find as it’s real hard to come across places that are so passionate about what they do, a diamond in the rough…

Mouse Tail Coffee Shop is one of those hidden gems that manages to strike the right balance between cozy charm and quality coffee. The atmosphere feels welcoming from the moment you step inside — relaxed, warm, and buzzing with a friendly neighborhood vibe. The coffee itself is excellent: smooth, rich, and consistently well-prepared. Whether you go for a classic flat white, a carefully poured filter coffee, or one of their seasonal specials, you can taste the attention to detail. Their baristas know what they’re doing, and they’re happy to chat or recommend something new without being pushy. The food menu is another highlight. Fresh pastries, hearty sandwiches, and light brunch options make it a great spot not just for a caffeine fix but also for a satisfying meal. Everything feels thoughtfully sourced and made with care. Service is warm and genuine — it’s clear that the staff take pride in the space and in making customers feel at home. The pace can get busy during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays friendly and relaxed.

What a disappointment today. I have been visiting this place for a few years, but not sure if I 'll visit it again. I have ordered a coffee and bought a specialty chocolate to enjoy together for at least 5 minutes, just to be told that I cannot stay in the shop because they are closing and need to start cleaning. I gave asked for just 2 min so I could finish the coffee. I was on a bicycle and do not have a coffee holder for a taje away cup. I have explained that I had a major surgery recently and could not sit outside in a cold weather. They told me that I could sit outside, but outside all chairs were wet after the rain. In my opinion, I have received a terrible service today. At least they could have told me we are closing soon before I ordered my coffee. Such a disappointment.

A MOUS-TRY EXPERIENCE at Mousetail Coffee Shop!

If there were a coffee shop Olympics, Mousetail in Whitechapel would definitely take home the gold! From the moment I stepped through their charming door, I knew I was in for a rodent-rific treat. Five stars just don't seem like enough to praise this hidden gem!

Let's talk about the staff first. They are the epitome of kindness and efficiency. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and treated like royalty. It's as if they possess a secret superpower to instantly brighten your day. Their enthusiasm for coffee is contagious, and they have a knack for making you feel like you're part of their caffeinated family.

Now, let's dive into the main attraction: the coffee. Oh boy, I can't emphasize enough how tantalizingly delicious it is! Each cup is a masterpiece, carefully crafted by the coffee wizards behind the counter. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a casual sipper, Mousetail's brews will leave you enchanted. From the velvety smooth lattes to the bold and robust espressos, every sip transports you to a realm of pure caffeinated bliss.

But wait, there's more! The pastries at Mousetail are absolute perfection. I'm convinced they have a secret pact with the pastry gods. With each bite, you can taste the expertise and love that went into creating these delectable treats. The flaky croissants melt in your mouth, the muffins are moist and bursting with flavor, and don't even get me started on their heavenly cinnamon rolls. Just thinking about them makes my taste buds dance with joy.

One thing that truly sets Mousetail apart is its ambiance. The cozy interior is like a whimsical woodland haven, where you can escape the bustling city and let time slow down for a while. The rustic decor and soft music selected by the manager Abbie create an atmosphere that makes you want to curl up with a cup of their signature blend and forget about the outside world.

In conclusion, Mousetail Whitechapel is a must-visit destination for coffee lovers and pastry enthusiasts alike. The kind-hearted staff, exceptional coffee, and mouthwatering pastries combine to create an unforgettable experience. So, do yourself a favour and scurry over to Mousetail - you won't be...

I pass this small coffee shop on my way to work - I only noticed it a couple of weeks ago. I always try to support small businesses rather than big name companies, so purchased a flat white coffee on two occasions. The first time I used the shop (last week) the young man serving was talking in an animated and loud manner with his colleague about how most people get on his nerves - this was while while he was taking my order. He took the order wrong and I got a flat white with oat milk (I'd ordered a regular flat white). OK, no worries, it was 7:30 AM and we all make mistakes. When I said the order was wrong I got a bit of a grumpy response, but I was given the correct order so went on my way. Fair enough, I also find many people get on my nerves but would not say this at work. Not very professional, and not very positive in attitude. I went in again yesterday morning, same time, same order, same member of staff. While I waited in the que for my drink, he was again talking loudly and enthusiastically (almost as though he was putting on a one man show for the people using the shop) about a certain political figure (not from the UK by the way), and how much he hated him. Politics aside, I do not feel 'good vibes' from the staff here. A barista should not assume that customers need to hear a political rant while waiting for a coffee first thing in the morning. And considering everything that was said was very obviously for the benefit of all within hearing distance, the staff should also not assume that everyone will share their political views. I do not! Twice now I have ordered a drink and both times were negative. Never again! Costa is a short distance up the road so that's where I will continue getting my...
