Oval Café — Restaurant in London

I rarely go out for breakfast, in fact, hardly ever. But today I thought I'd try the local cafe as I've just move into the area. I came here because of the high ratings and it's locality.

Having travelled extensively all through Britain over the past 7 years, I can honestly say this was probably one of the worst Full English Breakfasts I've ever been served.

For a start, it was not freshly cooked. The bacon was cold and tough and the sausage was about the same. Both looked as if they had been cooked beforehand and left on the bain-marie to dry out. The eggs were only offered as fried with no option for an alternative. The mushrooms and hash browns were ok but there was a severe lack of love in this dish and for £12 I expected a bit more. The coffee was mediocre at best. While not necessarily required for a full English, a serving of black pudding would have been welcomed.

Not impressed, will not be going back. There are plenty of other local cafes more deserving of my hard...

I stopped here for a quick breakfast that was served to me by a quiet and kind gentleman, good muffin, good soy cappuccino, but unfortunately a few minutes later a second no gentleman arrived with an unkind face, without even an adequate smile to work to the public, that at the moment I got up to leave, when I decided to be nice and bring back dirty cup and plate so as not to leave it at the table, at the moment when asked where I could throw my card away instead of a polite answer I received only a hideous and rude gesture made with the harm where the no gentleman with the mustache pointed to me the only garbage can that was behind the counter; Courtesy is shown with simple things, This no gentleman must not be to the public, is not able !!!

mi sono fermato qui per una colazione veloce che mi è stata servita da un signore tranquillo e gentile, buon muffin, buon cappuccino di soia, però purtroppo pochi minuti dopo è arrivato un secondo signore con un viso non gentile, senza neanche un sorriso adeguato per lavorare al pubblico, che al momento che mi sono alzato per andare via, quando ho deciso di essere gentile e portare indietro tazza e piatto sporco per non lasciarlo al tavolo, al momento quando chiesto dove potevo buttare via la mia carta invece di una risposta cortese ho ricevuto soltanto un gesto orrendo e scortese fatto con la mano dove il signore con i baffi mi indicava l’unico cestino della spazzatura che era dietro il bancone; La cortesia si dimostra con le semplici cose, Questo signore non deve essere al pubblico non è...

Needed a cup of coffee and something for breakfast. Asked for a bacon roll which was slammed onto the table. Asked for a take away cappuccino which was once again slammed onto the table in a mug w chocolate on top. Rude man working there, absolutely no one else in the cafe which probably should’ve been an indication. Not usually one to write reviews but was so put off by the entire interaction I felt I must. Food is cheap and fine but not worth the having to interact with the miserable man...
