A Hidden Gem in Wembley Central – Authentic Goan Homely Food!

If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful, and homely Goan food in Wembley Central, look no further than The Cross Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and hospitality, making our dining experience truly memorable.

Delicious, Fresh & Authentic Food

We had a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations: Chicken Shawarma – Prepared by Allen, this was hands down one of the best shawarmas we’ve ever had! The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the special garlic sauce took it to another level. Absolutely delicious!

Prawns Masala with Recheado Sauce – This was a revelation! The tangy, spicy Goan Recheado sauce complemented the prawns beautifully, making it one of our favorites.

Kingfish Thali & Tilapia Fish Thali – A must-try for seafood lovers! The fish was fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The thali came with all the traditional sides, making it a wholesome and satisfying meal.

Chicken Noodles – Comforting, flavorful, and packed with authentic Goan taste. It had that homely touch that’s hard to find in restaurants.

Exceptional Service & Hospitality

One of the standout aspects of our visit was the amazing hospitality. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners, Raju and Trinda, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their passion for serving fresh, preservative-free, and high-quality food is evident in every dish. The staff was also very attentive, checking in with us to ensure we were happy with our meal.

Final Verdict – A Must-Visit!

If you’re in Wembley and craving authentic Goan food made with love and care, The Cross Restaurant is a must-visit! The food is fresh, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere feels like home. Highly...

Absolutely loved our visit to Cross Goan in Wembley! This hidden gem serves up truly authentic Goan cuisine that instantly took us back to the shores of Goa. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—nothing too fancy, just a relaxed, homely vibe that lets the food do the talking.

The menu has a fantastic selection of classic Goan dishes, and everything we tried was packed with flavour. The prawn Rachado was a standout—spicy, tangy, and cooked to perfection. The fish thali tasted like it came straight out of a traditional Goan kitchen. You can really tell they’re using authentic spices and cooking methods.

Prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality of food. It’s definitely value for money, making it a great spot for both quick bites and sit-down dinners with friends or family.

The staff were super friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the dishes to those less familiar with Goan food, which we really appreciated. Service was quick but not rushed, and everything came out hot and fresh.

Cross Goan is now one of our go-to spots in Wembley—highly recommended for anyone craving real, soulful Goan food!

We recently visited Cross Restaurant in Wembley which is a cherished destination for authentic Goan cuisine, offering a homely atmosphere and dishes that transport diners straight to the coastal kitchens of Goa. The restaurant is renowned for its seafood thalis, particularly the king fish and prawn thalis. These meals come complete with fragrant rice, tangy curries, pickles, and a sweet dessert, providing a well-rounded and satisfying experience. Other standout dishes include prawns raechado masala, sorpotel, beef cutlet bread, and Goan pork sausages, all praised for their authentic flavors and generous portions. Cross Restaurant exudes a warm, family-run charm. The decor is simple, but the atmosphere is enriched by the friendly staff and the sounds of worship songs playing in the background. On Sundays, live music during lunchtime adds to the inviting environment. We thoroughly enjoyed the food we ordered and loved the friendly owners Raju and...

Traveled to Wembley for a day out, and when we were wandering around we stumbled upon this jewel. A place that truly captivates the pure taste of Goan cuisine and at very affordable prices. We were served wonderfully by the young girl that looks after the front of house, she was very attentive, polite and very courteous to all our requests and always smiling. We ordered the beef cutlet bread, biryani rice, sorpatel and goan pork sausages. the flavour was impeccable and every bite reminded of us Goa and it was authentic. The portions were decent (please note some of the photos were taken, after we served ourselves). I believe at one point we were greeted by the owner when he served us at our table and that was a nice touch. They also had some great live music, by a one man band. Super glad we walked into this restaurant, we'll definitely be back for more.

I ordered the king fish and prawn thali from this restaurant and I was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food. The fish was fresh and well-cooked, the prawns were juicy and spicy, and the rice and curry were flavorful and filling. The thali also came with a salad, pickle, and dessert, which made it a complete meal. The only downside was that the drinks were not up to the mark. I had a lemonade that was too watery and very diluted. Falooda was too sweet and artificial for my liking. I would suggest that they improve their drinks menu or offer more options for beverages. Overall, I would recommend this place for anyone who loves seafood and wants to try a thali, but not for the drinks.
