What a lovely bar in the heart of Dalston! Wine: We went for the Easy Skin-Contact oprion and it was deliiiishhhh! I love that the menu essentially calls their wines "easy" "serious" etc... Makes it easier to order wine as someone who knows nothing about wine. Service: Really attentive and sweet staff! Atmosphere: I love the mix of table sizes with a large dining table in the middle for a more communal feel, while also having smaller tables for more private conversations. The art on the walls and the rugs were impecable! Achieved that lived-in, artsy style that gives the place a really homey vibe. Price: I mean, its London... so take that as you will. We ordered a snack to share and 4 glasses of wine between us for £46 total We arrived around 6pm on a Monday night and it was quite empty but within an hour or so it was very bustling!

Ideal spot for a catch up drink. The menu is super accessible to all levels of wine knowledge and is very welcoming. I went for the easy and chilled reds delivering extremely good wine at a fair price. The atmosphere had a great buzz even for a Wednesday evening. The space is filled with antique unique furnishings. I found the stools were a little uncomfortable after a few hours, would recommend finding chairs if available.

A very Dalston bar. It's lovely actually- tucked down a quieter street than Kingsland Road, its small and friendly with cute decor, sweet staff and a good atmosphere. Loved the simplicity of the menu and the variety of wines, presented in an uncomplicated or pretentious way. Staff were happy to help out and give samples to help choose the right wine for you. Clearly a well loved location- Worth dropping in for a glass✌🏻

Have been meaning to share this review for weeks! As locals to Dalston, it was strangely our first time at Dan’s, but we now plan to make it a regular spot, mostly because of the gorgeous service we received from Jamie (I hope Jamie is the right name?!). He quickly picked up that we were excited about wine (my partner works in wine and has a restaurant and I enjoy drinking it) and took time to explain the process of service (the anonymity of wines - very cool and fun) and different wines to us. We (probably annoyingly) were asking for different glasses and for him to engage in a bit of a game whereby we guess the wine and he tells us how close we were. He made it so fun for us and really took time to make sure that we were having a good time. With both myself and my partner working in the service industry, we appreciated this a lot and we really respected the level of skill he brought to the experience. It was thoroughly enjoyable because of this, and it really made our night. I could also see that he was engaging with other customers in the same way. This sort of service is truly an asset to any establishment. I don’t write reviews all that often but really needed to write this...

Can't remember exactly how I found Natty Boy Wines, it was well over a year ago. I think I was looking for something specific and have given into temptation many times since then. I trained in France as a sommelier so, even on a limited budget recently, I'm a total fusspot and want to know lots of details about what I'm buying, drinking and sharing. I've found a fabulous selection of wines, great range of price and naturalness, mainly made with love by small vigneron.nes. I'm really enjoying Dan's writing about the wines and their makers, so I recommend signing up for his newsletter. It's full of his own passion and respect, his tasting notes are bang on the nail, and his style is lively and refreshing. I've discovered some offbeat wines and winemakers that I've loved. Am looking forward to getting to the wine bar one day. Oh yes, impeccable and speedy service and...
