A small Indian restaurant which was very busy. They have seating downstairs and upstairs. We had to wait 10mins for a table to be free. As soon as one was available, it was cleaned and then we were seated. Order was taken within 10mins. Food came within 20mins. The street food they do is so tasty. It is well presented. The chaats were top hit with this restaurant. The starters were rubbish and would avoid if I decide to visit next time. They do thigh piece chicken throughout which is a very big disappointment. Restaurant please take note... Breast piece is more popular and goes better with the dishes. Hate the taste of thigh piece chickens. The main course was good. The naan bread was proper fresh. The Daal and the egg curry was good but just needed bit of flavour. The butter chicken was my favourite. The taste was so good. Only issue was that it came with thigh piece chicken which killed the joy. We could not order dessert as the kitchen closed and the waiters failed to let us know. You guys could have made extra £30 from me only if you had told me that kitchen is closing and if we wanted to order any dessert. Customer service was OK but could be better. They seemed liked not caring as much. Either they are so busy and not able to cope and therefore need more staff or they just don't care at all. They did not provide proper service. I had to ask for basics such as wet towels. Some of the food I did not touch as I hated the taste. That was the starters but the waiters failed to ask if anything was wrong or take it off the bill. The toilet downstairs smelt so bad that even flies were dying in there and the kitchen was right next to the toilet. This place needs proper cleaning.

My husband and I took the 1 hour 5 min transport ride from Lewisham/Greenwich to eat here. It was well-worth it! We had lovely food in a well-decorated place: loved the blue wall colours in the basement, the framed photos on the walls and the cracked glass. For two of us with nonalcoholic drinks and plenty of food (lots of leftovers), was £63. Their food options are enormous, including veggie choices I have not seen in any other Indian restaurant menus. I had a couple of dishes from the chaat section: the foxnut chaat, the bhalla khatori chaat and the tandoori veg momo dumplings. Warning the foxnut and bhalla khatori portions are HUGE. The foxnut is savoury, salty and addictive and the bhalla khatori yogurt sauce is DELICIOUS. I actually wish that came atop the foxnut chaat. I was so stuffed by the bhalla khatori I only had one veg momo dumpling but it was chewy and tasty, with some kick. I ordered jaljeera but wasn’t a big fan. Whilst it’s a mint drink it’s savoury and spicy. My husband’s mango lassi though has to be one of the best I’ve ever tasted. He agreed: it’s rich and creamy. My husband said his chicken tikka masala was fine. I also wasn’t impressed with the naan 🫓: not the most flavourful. Our waitress was lovely. My only caveat about the whole experience was how long our food took. A solid 20 minutes. So if you’re going make sure you have plenty of time.

Have to say this has to be one of the tastiest Indian restaurants I've been to in a very long time. The owners are from Punjab and Delhi not that it makes any difference, just thought I'd drop this fact. Our starters were very nice, we ordered, chicken tikka, chicken trio, kebab, chops and tikki (for the tikki I would recommend asking for more sauce/gravy as it was dry for us - I guess it's personal preference). For mains we ordered butter chicken, lamb curry and samosa chaat (again recommend asking for more gravy/sauce for the chaat). All dishes were tasty, more so the chicken. The lamb dish I could tell that the meat was boiled which is fine however it needed to be left to marinate more. We ordered a variety of breads, roti, plain naan, garlic naan, chilli garlic naan and they all were very good and soft. Service by the waiter was really good, very patient and understanding. Prices could be improved however considering we were in London W9 and the location kind of makes sense.

5 of us finally tried this place on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 after all the hype and rave people have been going on about. My sister emailed the restaurant on 26th October 2019 but hasn't heard anything back.

One of my friend is in the restaurant and food industry so this is a collective feedback.

Entering your restaurant nice simple elegant ambience. But your outside signage needs to be bit bold so others can notice you.

We were directed to our table which was on the left hand side up the small steps. Was very tight even for a high chair (which was requested and not even offered). While settling down we were then asked if we would prefer to move downstairs. We had no problem with that, but your staff should’ve helped as we had a toddler and a baby in a car seat. Not once did your staff offer any help and we struggled with baby and coats and bags. If they even carried the coats and bags it would’ve been appreciated. Maybe have a cloakroom.

Downstairs was cold and we had to ask few times for the AC to be shut or aim it upwards instead having it on our face and food arrives becomes cold.

Your Drinks menus is absolutely amazing, the flavours on what we orders was perfect not over sweet like usual cocktails.

Food we had mixture of non veg and veg. Veg plater: samosa tasted like they been fried again and very oily. Soya achari, broccoli sauce was very salty.

The chaats seemed the same maybe the palak one should have palak actually inside it than fried and placed on top.

Mains Lacha paratha was over cooked bottom was burnt and rock hard. Daal very salty Corn methi - there was no methi taste and also looked like it came from the tin as the colour was not fresh. Tasted more like spinach then methi. Chiken Tikka Masala - was very watery and runny, sauce needs to be thick.

There is no baby changing facilities in the restaurant either and not disabled friendly as no ramp outside for someone in a wheelchair or even a...

Edit: The owner of the restaurant reached out to me and apologized. He indicated the experience we had was not indicative or typical. He said he is going to take corrective actions so that this doesn’t happen again. He did offer us a free meal for the future. I will give this place one more chance.

Service was Bad. Really really rude. Judgmental staff. Acting on a recommendation, we (my wife, our son and I) made reservation to experience dinner at Dhaba@49 on 10 Sep. As soon as we walked in, the usher gave us the worst table and told us, point blank, we must vacate in 90 min. I requested a different table and they accommodated us. Again reiterating we must vacate in 90 min. They brought in menus and while ordering, the staff told us what quantity we need to order. We had ordered samosa chat, pav bhaji, crispy cauliflower, paneer butter masala, dhaba ki roti, and lacha paratha. Also, we had ordered Orange juice, chai and lemonade. The staff recommended Bhindi but told us you shouldn’t order. And reprimanded(almost threatened) my kid that he must behave. They brought ALL food at one time. And again he threatened my kid. He forgot Chai. After 60 min we were reminded that we have only 30 min to leave.

Not sure was it because of our appearance, or we came with a toddler or some other reason, but they were really rude to us. I didn’t hear them saying this 90 min rule to anybody else. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK. I should have probably walked away the minute I walked in.

Please DO NOT go with a KID. This place is NOT KID FRIENDLY.

Coming to food, PAV bhaji was almost stale. Dhaba roti should have been called papad. Everything else met...
