Terrible Experience.
The following is an email I sent to Dominos explaining the terrible experience I had tonight and the reason for this poor review.
Dear Dominos,
To start with, this is the last time I will email/call/contact you/order from you ever in my life. I had my night ruined aimlessly waiting for my food to the point that I got so frustrated and walked to the nearest store where I got even worse customer service.
It all started when I placed my order online automatically using my number. However, my phone just recently broke so I knew there was no way they could contact me that way. I was with a friend and she instantly phoned the Islington store to explain that we had given the wrong number and to inform them of the correct one so they could contact once they reach our place. We called about 10 times but the call was always ended midway in solving the problem. My friend eventually got through to a lady who took down the right number and put her on hold while she checked the status of the order. She was held for 20 minutes only to be hung up on. We then called another 15 times and not once did the Islington store pick up again. It had been 2 hours by this point. We got so frustrated that we decided to walk to the Islington store and see what is going on. We explained what happened to the guys at the till and their response was to blame us for giving them the wrong phone number that kept the driver waiting and subsequently left. Furthermore, they told us we have not paid for anything so we shouldn't be complaining. Also, we witnessed one of the employees pick up the phone even though they claimed they were too busy to answer our calls before or to change our number and fix the order. It looks to me as if they realised they messed up our order and purposely ignored my friend's calls. This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour, unacceptable customer service, unacceptable system that no longer lets you correct your details once the order was placed and a night completely wasted for food that never arrived as well as employees that did nothing to fix the situation and blamed us instead.
I am extremely disappointed as I've been a recurring customer of Dominos many many times and never complained even though my order was messed up quite a few times in terms of ingredients. I will never order from you again and will share my bad experience across all social media as well as my friends to avoid the possibility of them suffering the same horrible experience that me and my friend went through...
Read moreI ordered food from this branch, and did not receive two items that was meant to be part of the ‘deal’ they had online. When I phoned the branch about a minute after delivery, the guy who answered the phone said that he will send a driver with the missing items (he even confirmed what the missing items were before I told him) I had stressed at the time that it was for my child and he said that someone will be with me in the next 5 minutes, the missing item was chicken wings and a drink, so I just assumed that they forgot to give it to the driver, hence the reason he said 5 minutes. 30 minutes passed and I called back, the same guy answered the phone and said that his driver said that he already gave the items to me, that I was lying?! Seriously?! I was so shocked to be accused! Why would I lie about not receiving wings and a drink lol. I was adamant that it was not delivered! I asked to speak to the manager and he hung up! I called back 3 times and he kept picking the phone up and then dropping the call! He finally decided to speak to me and told me that he was the manager, but would not give me his name (lying) He was insisting that all items were delivered and hung up again. At this point I felt so frustrated, I had to call another branch and after explaining to the lady that answered the phone, she put me through to the area manager. I again explained myself to him and he told me that he is heading to the White Lion St branch now and that he will call me back in 30 minutes- he never did! I have been a regular customer at this branch, I have used them many times over the years, they have always forgotten little things to give to the driver but send it over when they can- I usually confirm my delivery items with the delivery guy when it’s dropped off and if anything is missing, they ring the branch- that day my husband took the delivery and didn’t check. The staff at the restaurant clearly forgot to give the item to the delivery guy (as he told me what was missing ) and decided to try and accuse me of lying when he couldn’t t find anyone to come back! I just ordered a pizza from here.
Apparently, I did not put in my Address in my order, but my order was processed. I gave my Address on the phone, I repeated the post code and address twice.
The Chef, called me telling me that my pizza is outside, I see no delivery driver. Apparently when I called the Chef over the phone I did not give them the right address, when I clearly repeated the address twice. So its the customers fault?
I asked again, if I don't get my food, you will get a bad review, the chef repeated to me, you will get a refund.
Now, if I don't receive my refund within 5 working days, I will post an updated review with my bank statement, as proof that I did not receive my refund. The choice is yours, very...
