I ordered some food online for delivery to the Novotel in Canary Wharf we waited for the food. We got a call saying the food had been left at the reception desk, the hotel we stayed at do not accept delivery so we would have to get the food ourselves from the delivery driver. When we got to reception there obviously wasn’t any food there as they do not accept delivery’s for their Guests. We called dominos back the man on the phone sounded extremely rude and said they would contact their driver to see where the food was. Later we got a call from the driver he had described the person at the desk he had given it to no one matched his description. We spoke to our hotel supervisor who spoke to the driver as well. In the end the driver had gone to the wrong address. They were extremely rude and blamed us by saying we gave them the wrong address as they don’t deliver to Canary wharf when we had said Canary Wharf over the phone to the driver and he agreed and said yes Canary Wharf Novotel. Later again we phoned them back to ask for a refund I called them and they were not answering must of been about 3 times I called them then I called them off a different phone and they answered I think it’s unacceptable! And out of order! When I asked for a refund the man was rude and I mentioned about them ignoring the call on the other phone and he had nothing to say about it, I also heard lots of laughing the background at us which is extremely unprofessional. We deliberately went with Dominoes as it said it would be with us in 25 minutes. 25 minutes later it was still not out for delivery. When it eventually went out for delivery, watching the driver on the map, there was no movement for ages and then we received an alert saying it had been delivered even though it had not, and the driver was nowhere near us. We waited ten minutes and then called the store. They answered and fobbed us off with the standard “he’s on the way, he’s just two minutes away”. We waited another ten minutes and called again. We were told the exact same thing again and then they snapped “We’re very busy!” as though it’s my fault that we’ve now waited an hour for our pizza. We waited another FIFTEEN minutes and called again. A different person this time said that they would call the driver to find out what was going on. They disconnected the line and a couple of minutes later the pizza arrived. It arrived after 70 minutes instead of 25, which then made us late for the concert and we missed the opening act. The store were incredibly rude and unhelpful, when all we wanted was a truthful update so we could decide whether to cancel and leave for the concert or not. Read moreAn absolute cretin managing it called abdulla. I called as my order email was showing up as incorrect items and I tried to rectify it. He had said my order was already ready - it had only been 4 minutes since I'd placed the order online. I simply asked him why it was ready so quickly as, usually food orders take up to 30 minutes minimum and he launched into a full on condescending, unprovoked ignorant attack! He refused to give his name over the phone so I politely told him that I would pop down to the store to get his name. It is clear he chose to try and act like he had the upper hand because i had already paid. Whilst in store he proceeded to attempt to be condescending and childish. This encounter has been recorded for proof, so further action can be taken. When I asked one of his colleagues if he was going to prepare my pizza that I'D ALREADY PAID FOR he told the other worker not to prepare it. When it became clear the other worker was preparing it - abdulla said HE WOULD THROW MY PIZZA IN THE BIN! I paid for this pizza via PayPal and got NOTHING!
