Shi Fu — Restaurant in London

We went to this restaurant thrice, the food was okay as we are tourists we didn’t have much options to explore at that point of time but as the food was good we went there and near our hotel. First day, the staff didn’t behave badly she was nice I couldn’t remember her name but she was really nice. As, the service charge was optional we asked to remove it and it happen the next day also the same thing happen they added a service charge and when we asked to remove it , they did. The final day when we went there we have ordered the same thing, chicken wings but the food was not upto the mark, they didn’t provide the salad which was there the previous day we ordered the food. When asking them they said, it was just for decoration, fine… when my husband asked for soya sauce they said it was chargeable, but strange isn’t it? They charged me 1 pound for soya sauce i am pretty sure it had to free in any Chinese restaurant as i have had many times to restaurants. Well, even that day some other lady was there , her behaviour was miserable she behaved so badly with my husband, she told that last two days she forgot to add the soya sauce and chilli oil to the bill and today if we take we have to pay for it . Okay, that was fine too but she then added saying last two days you didn’t pay us the service charge so either you pay for that or you pay for the soya sauce… her demand was to take service charge from us as we didn’t give her she behaved badly with a bad tone and her way of talking to a customer was not at all acceptable. As we felt insulted we didn’t order further that day and had to leave. She was rude, this is highly inappropriate behaviour towards a tourist and that too when we are going to the same place. Infact, I will attach the same dish but the difference you can get through… well, all what i wanted to say is that you cannot forcefully charge someone to give service charge if they are not willing to pay. This kind of behaviour in a resturant is highly unprofessional. I will never go & will not...

Ordered for delivery and instead of being responsible and cancelling the order if they were too busy, they left us waiting for 2 hours and were extremely nonchalant, rude even, and simply suggested I request money back from them via the app I ordered through. The result? An insulting £3 credit to my account. Will never waste my time or money with these crooks again. Learn how to be competent, honest restaurant owners and do not accept orders you cannot fulfil within a reasonable amount of time! Furthermore they think they are smart and used a different name on the delivery apps to what is being shown here on Google.

EDIT: Saw they responded so am editing to add that of course your drivers bike broke down midway! It was also apparently due to bad weather, simply being busy, and at one stage you claimed the driver said he had already delivered the order. Simply practice honesty, maybe that will be a good focus for you this year in 2025. I would not waste time or money ordering here again if it were the last Chinese...

I have come here quite a few times and the food has been good.. recently I’ve had bad experiences. Last time they got my order wrong and after going home I had to come back and change it. Then this time after taking the food home, to my utter disappointment the food was appalling, absolutely disgusting.. like the poured all the salt in the world. Truly terrible. They poured too much salt, I even tried to add in fresh vegetables and yogurt, another sauce, to make it salty.. still so salty. Totally unacceptable and unenjoyable experience. I don’t know if they purposely let me go home after their mistake because they didn’t think I’d come back as it was a take out or what? I use to really like this place… it was a waste of money, and the food was not even worth 1 pound. Let alone how extremely unhealthy that is to consume that much salt.

It really is a shame, because I used to like this restaurant and I have recommended it to my friends and family, smh. But now I wouldn’t want to come back.
