Eastcote House Gardens Cafe — Restaurant in London

Lovely home made cake but it felt like they'd taken Covid precautions to such an extreme that it made us as customers feel unwelcome. No outside seating or a menu which could be easily seen from the outside, so the only way to decide what to order was to squint at what was in the fridge from the other side of a dimly lit room, whilst being conscious that other customers were waiting for us to finish ordering. I appreciate businesses are struggling to provide a safe environment for staff and customers, but having seen it managed so well in other places, this was a disappointment compared to the beautiful photos I'd seen on here leading me to think it would be the perfect place to stop for lunch during these...

Visited cafe for a 2nd time - did not disappoint - delicious food generous portions-1st visit breakfast my husband & I had a bacon sandwich fresh bread & lots of bacon cooked just right! Yummy cappuccino to finish Today 1 x 3 egg ham omelette & chunky chips with salad garnish, 1 x jacket potato with home made coronation chicken with salad garnish, everything was delicious little extras like homemade honey mustard dressing made it extra special!!! The gardens are nice and worth a visit. However this is a review of the cafe, which may well be nice, but is cash only (and no cash point near by) and so I've not been able to try it. Extremely frustrating when cashless payment is so prevalent and easy/cheap for establishments to implement. If you don't have cash on you, you can't use the cafe.
