The Crab Cutlets were a revelation – perfectly crispy on the outside, with a succulent and flavorful crab filling that left my taste buds wanting more. It's evident that the kitchen team puts a premium on quality ingredients and skillful preparation.
As for the Prawn Biryani, it was a symphony of aromatic spices and tender prawns, creating a dish that stands out in a league of its own. The fragrant basmati rice and well-balanced spices showcased the chef's expertise in crafting a memorable biryani.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They go above and beyond to ensure guests have a positive experience. The bar selection is diverse, featuring an array of craft beers and cocktails that cater to various tastes.

Read moreElephant and Barrel is truly a Taste of India in the Heart of London. As a lover of Indian cuisine, we were excited to try Elephant and Barrel, a highly rated Indian restaurant located in the bustling heart of London. The moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted by a life-sized Asian elephant. It was literally alive with swinging ears and raised trunk. It was a very warm welcome into an inviting ambience and authentic decor. The menu at Elephant and Barrel is extensive, offering a wide range of traditional South Indian dishes as well as some contemporary fusion creations. They have a well stocked bar offering varieties of beers, ales, wines, and other drinks. In food, we opted for the wood fired Pizza, Chicken65, Pork roast and Squid Fry. All of them were an excellent culinary treat. The tender chunks of chicken in Chicken Biryani were perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious. Eating Haddock and Chips was a wonderful experience. To accompany our meals, we tried the Malabar Parantha, which was fluffy and cooked to perfection. The fragrant rice prawn pulao was out of this world. Molasses Dosa with Vanilla Ice Cream satiated our sweet tooth craze perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, with the staff happily explaining the different dishes and making suitable recommendations. Service was top-notch. Overall, our dining experience at Elephant and Barrel was exceptional. If you're craving for a taste of India in London, I highly recommend giving Elephant and Barrel a try. It's a true gem in the city's diverse...
Read moreNot sure if we caught the chef on a bad day, but the food was really mediocre for lunch. A starter was listed as spicy fried chicken, but it came as cubes of seasoned chicken breast, not actual fried chicken on the bone, so that was misleading. It also really needed an accompaniment and/or dipping sauce. Korma was ok, the chicken biryani had a hard boiled egg inside the rice which wasn’t expected and was a tad dry. Kids menu items were standard frozen nuggets/fish fingers. The sticky toffee pudding was dry and in the shape of a square cake, not a traditional sticky toffee pudding and I’m sorry to say but it tasted cheap, with a fake chocolate sauce drizzled over that you’d throw on a kids Mr Whippy. I think the menu needs to be more specific and explain to customers what they’re actually getting. The staff were all really lovely and very attentive servers, so I can’t fault them at all. It’s still a nice pub spot, and perhaps the pizzas are better. But I must say, I preferred it when it was The Rylston as the quality and choice of food was far superior and...
