Euphorium Belsize Park — Restaurant in London

Dropped in for a quick breakfast, I’ve never been here before. I got “The Full Euphorium” (Full English). When I ordered it I asked for “no eggs and for an extra hash brown instead”, they were happy to do that. I’m allergic to eggs for context.

They were very busy and don’t have a kitchen so it took them a minute to make my food. I saw that they had made eggs. I asked the person that took my order “just checking my full English is with no egg? Because I’m allergic.” She said “I made a mistake so should I put it on a different plate?” I didn’t know how to respond.

Luckily I’m not anaphylactic. But food safety dictates that you have to fully remake the dish as if the item that people are allergic to has touched the plate or other foods that plate is now contaminated. The team needs to be trained better with food safety.

Now I’m going to go get myself an antihistamine and cancel my plans for the day,...

We came here for a coffee and some brunch. The food was okay, nothing spectacular and definitely not worth the price. The real disapointment was the service and atmosphere. We felt the lady that served us was very rude. We had the feeling of being rushed to order (despite there being no queue). She reluctantly "cleaned" a table for us (not even properly) and failed to dry it so I just did this myself. Normally I would not be bothered by such things but the attitude of this lady was so negative it completely ruined our experience and turned the atmosphere cold. She also aggressively placed down our drinks and seemed to be making a racket on purpose putting away dishes/cups behind the counter. Came here with my parents and we loved it! We got a Full Euphorium each, an Eggs Royale and the Banoffee Pancakes. The ingredients for the Euphoriums were so fresh and I loved the bread in particular. The Eggs Royale were very special. I’ve never had an Eggs Benedict before and the smoked salmon made it spectacular. The rocket on top gave it a little something extra with each bite. The pancakes may have been my favourite- the bananas were not too sweet and the same with the pancakes. The whip cream on top was so fresh too - melted in my mouth. We also got hot chocolates and the Mumbai chai - both a thumbs up. The service is great too - everyone is super lovely and I love how chill and cute the interior is.
