This fish and chip shop has been around for a long time.

They serve a decent donner be it chicken or lamb along with all their other grilled food; chicken shish, lamb shish, wings and lahmachun.

Their fish and chips is what their known for which is equally great and always fresh.

Being a large guy i can barely finish a large portion just about. For the average person a large portion of fish and chips can be shared between 2 to 3 people.

Today i ordered meat and chips only. Usually i go for the beef or a mix. But on this occasion i went for the chicken with chips. All for £13.50 which comes with a small box of salad.

Their sauces are ok, very watery and thus it does not stick to the meat. In fact it washes off any spices on the meat, its just too watery.

The other downside to it all is their prices. Very expensive across the board and I can only afford to visit this place once every other month.

As other reviewers have said already, all their staff do appear very miserable. They dont talk and just get on with it. I can only suspect the staff are from a particular turkish or kurdish community. Maybe Shia as i saw a big tattoo with 'Ibrahim' written on the inside right forearm for one of the workers. The community in Forest Gate mainly consist of south asians of sunni background.

This is just my...

IComplaint: Poor Service and Unfair Treatment – Everest Kebab, Romford Road E7

I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Everest Kebab on Romford Road, E7.

I went in to collect doner meat and chips, paid in full, and waited around 10 minutes while the staff turned on the rotisserie. There was already some meat sitting on the tray, but I assumed I’d get fresh meat since the grill was being heated.

While I waited, another customer arrived who was 20 minutes late for his order. Instead of prioritising customers in the right order, the staff gave that customer the freshly sliced doner, and tried to give me the old kebab meat that had been sitting out for 25 minutes.

I immediately refused the food as it wasn’t fresh, and clearly not the quality I paid for. Despite this, they refused to refund me and I left without my food or my money.

I explained that I’m a regular customer, but was treated poorly and unfairly. This kind of service is unacceptable, especially when fresh food is being reserved for latecomers while loyal customers are given leftovers.

I will be raising this complaint across all platforms and will not return unless this is...

Disappointing Experience: Rude and Unfriendly Service at Everest.

AVOID THIS PLACE! I approached the manager politely regarding the below. The Manager responded with: "MY BUSINESS. I CAN DO WHAT I WANT"

I recently visited with some family members and our dining experience was marred by the rude behavior of one of the staff (the manager), particularly regarding the provision of cutlery.

Upon requesting an additional fork to accommodate our shared plate of chips among five people, we were met with an unacceptable response from the manager. Instead of politely addressing our simple request, he retorted with unnecessary hostility, stating, "You've ordered one plate of chips to share, so share the forks!" Which he repeated a few times upon our request."

This response not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected as paying customers. While we understand the concept of sharing, the manner in which our request was handled was completely...

I’ve been visiting Everest for a while, but lately the experience has completely changed — and not for the better. The food itself was still decent, but the packaging was terrible — my wrap was barely held together with a single layer of wrapper paper instead of the proper double wrapping. It started falling apart before I could even eat it properly. It feels like they’re either cutting corners or just being stingy now. What really shocked me was the attitude of the man at the counter. He was rude, aggressive, and seemed to have an issue with Indian customers. In a place like East London — where the community is heavily Asian — that kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. Everest used to offer good food and decent service, but now it feels unwelcoming. Very disappointing, and I won’t be coming back..

I used to visit this shop regularly a long time ago when my job was nearby. Now, I drop by occasionally. Last night, I dined in and ordered a lamb doner with a Coke. The lamb was freshly cut and delicious, but the salad was disappointing. The spicy onions, in particular, seemed off, with a tangy flavor that suggested they had gone bad. I usually enjoy eating the spicy onions with my doner kebab, but this time I couldn’t eat the salad at all. They should regularly check the freshness of the salad to avoid serving spoiled items—it's not good practice. Aside from that, the dining experience was pleasant: clean tables, a quiet atmosphere, and plenty of light. Overall, I like eating here.
