If you're looking for a pizzeria that offers exceptional sourdough pizzas, delicious gelato options, and great drinks at affordable prices, then you'll definitely want to check out this place. The sourdough crusts on their pizzas are simply amazing - they're crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of chewiness. The toppings are always fresh and generously applied, making each slice a delight to savor. For dessert, you'll definitely want to try their gelato options. The flavors are varied and delicious, and the texture is creamy and smooth. They're the perfect way to end your meal on a sweet note. In addition to the food, the service is truly outstanding. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure that you have a great dining experience. They're knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations if you're not sure what to order. Finally, the drinks are another highlight. They offer a great selection of drinks, including beer, wine, and cocktails, all at very reasonable prices. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing soda or a glass of wine to pair with your pizza, you'll find something to suit your tastes. All in all, this pizzeria is a must-visit if you're in the area. With great sourdough pizzas, delicious gelato options, affordable drinks, and amazing service, you're sure to have a wonderful time.

I have tried this chain twice, and I wasn't impressed. At the E&C branch, I have tried the vegan and non-vegan Margherita pizza and the marshmallow ice-cream, washed down with some lager beer. The pizzas bases were all right but the tomato sauce way too acidic, spoiling the dish. The vegan alternative was OK but unremarkable, but spoiled by the same tomato paste they used. The ice cream portion was small and the "marshmallow" not a flavour but a tablespoon of the cheapest miniature confectionery. The ambience was "post-industrial" anodyne with, thankfully, not overbearing music. The service was polite but inefficient, with the tables way too small and so sticky, it was needed to ask (unsuccessfully) for a waiter to try and wipe it out. The toilets not too clean, either. Not the worst but certainly there are better places around.

The pizza was excellent, but the service was fairly poor. We were seated, then ignored for almost ten minutes. We had to go ask for someone to take our order. They were great about clarifying which types of pizza were garlic-free, which I appreciate, but after we were served our food and drinks no one came by even once to check on things. We were finished and wanted to leave, but no one came so we once again had to walk over and ask for our bill and a take out box. It would be great if they had fans inside as it was quite hot. The pizza itself was very good, with delicious crust. I had the pineapple and it was subtle, a bit spicy, and incredibly tasty! So this is a four-star food place with two-star service.

My husband and I really drew the short straw here. Arriving, the restaurant was quiet, 2/3 tables with one waiter and two chefs. We weren’t seated, and a group who arrived after us were seated and served before us.

Our drinks order arrived incorrectly with half of it missing, then only one pizza arrived, with no sign of the starter or second pizza. The waiter did not tell us what was going on, and when we asked, we didn’t get a straight answer, but surmised the order hadn’t been put through. Once the first pizza (fairly underwhelming for £12.50) was completely finished, over an hour after arrival, the second arrived. We never saw the starter we ordered, it was clearly completely forgotten. Perplexing as we were one of 2 tables waiting for food ‘eating in’.

On another note; for a restaurant that prides itself on pizza and beer, there’s no non-alcohol beer on the menu which in 2021 is a bit sad.

Hardly the local, enjoyable date night we expected....
