Airlines overbook to "save money". When this happen, they ask someone to stay one more night in the city with good compensations instead.
After arriving we read through the menu. 5 dishes were interesting for us, others not.
But, this evening, two of the best and obviously popular dishes went out of stock. When this happened to us, we suddenly felt "unlucky" for arriving late out of peak hours (again, for the restaurant to get more money out the fixed capital).
Feeling unlucky is a bad feeling to have. We could have either booked a table earlier this evening to get the dishes we wanted and were not out of stock. Or we felt unlucky to book this restaurant overall.
Feeling unlucky however, can easily be changed by surprisingly little effort. You can do just something special for the guests instead, and let him know about your effort in doing so. F.ex. just by giving one free wine glass would cost just 3% of the total bill, but would mean so lot for the unlucky feeling of the visitor.
But this restaurant did nothing for us regarding this issue.
Got a great service from Ella, she's by far the best waitress on this restaurant. She offered me to taste 4 wines.
But still, I don't know if that was only for me, or if it's for all guests that ask for it.
When I left, I still felt unlucky and frustrated not to have the dishes I wanted because we arrived that late.
For food quality you can read the other reviews, but this is my story.
Update: Apologies taken. Will give them a second chance if I ever visit London again and if the restaurant will still being run. The food is just so good.
Check out the plum iberica. It's as flavorful as the rib-eye but...
Read moreAbsolutely 5 stars across the board for The Frame on Westbourne Grove. What an incredible spot! I visited on a friend’s glowing recommendation, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.
Every dish was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The portions were perfect for sharing, and we ended up ordering way more than planned because everything on the menu looked so good (and it was!).
Hands down some of the best cocktails I’ve had in London. Super creative, well-balanced, and just the right amount of flair. You can tell the bartenders here take serious pride in their craft.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. Attentive without being overbearing. They struck the perfect balance and made the whole evening feel easy and relaxed.
The vibe is spot on. Stylish and cosy, with a great energy in the room. Perfect lighting, great ambience at the right volume, and the overall design feels modern yet intimate.
Already planning my next visit – can’t recommend The...
Read moreMy first time at Frame and I have to say that it was an absolutely lovely experience.
I really enjoyed the décor of the place - stylish and fun with a cozy vibe. I ate upstairs, but took a look downstairs as well and was impressed with how the restaurant used the space. I also liked the acoustics of the restaurant as I was able to hear my dinner companions clearly without having to shout even though the restaurant was full. In the terms of the drinks, the drink I had was delicious (I can't remember it's name, but it had blue curaçao in it) and it paired with my food quite nicely. Which brings me to the food - I really enjoyed my selection of tapas. I had the croquettes which has a lot of flavour, the patatas bravas which were expertly cooked, and the chorizo which was my favourite of the dishes. I thought that the portions were a good size (it is tapas after all) as well. I didn't get around to dessert, which is an oversight I won't make again.
Overall a great experience and highly...
