Lovely setting in an old England building. Gail's have done a great job in setting up a very clean and good looking cafe. Good coffee and good assortment of bread rolls, pastries and other breakfast snacks. I will say, however, don't try their eggs and bacon breakfast. It will eviscerate your mouth. Eggs abliterated beyond this plane of existence with so much oil you may question life and leave you with such a burnt palate, it lasts 3 days - and on going Bacon was great

Hours here say 6pm Sun to Sat but not so - we were there too close to 3 on a Sunday and service (or service attitude) was winding down. Happy for the pit stop along on our way, but didn’t feel comfortable. Pity, lovely building and lots of sunlight coming through - nice atmosphere.

Lovely place to have treats and drinks but not very many vegan choices. I got the tahini and chocolate bites which was good. The ambience and the staff are friendly. There is seating inside.

I was a little taken aback that the server at the counter near to closing at 6.55 pm aggressively demanded I leave before I had time to pick up my double expresso. As I was picking it up HE repeated “we have to close, we have to close, we have to close!!!” I said “calm down as you are aggravating me when I am trying to get my coffee safely.” He kept on again. If HE doesn’t want to serve coffee at 6.55 pm then he should Say no when I asked at 6:55 and say that he is closing. Because it’s not “we at Gail’s” as it’s only him who decides the rules for lock up. So he should also switch the machine off at 6:45 so there’s no one left by 7 o’clock. I wouldn’t come back because I don’t want to be spoken to like that in front of a charity person and the staff I don’t know who he thinks he is, but that’s not acceptable. Amount to abusive behaviour towards...

Absolutely disgusted with the service just received at Gails in East Sheen. I went in, excited to get a crispy squash and sage challah sandwich. I was told very rudely, "we don't have that, we don't sell it" i said, "oh that's odd, I bought it here 3 days ago". The manager then came over and rudely exclaimed "we don't have that sandwich and haven't done for a while." When I explained that I had bought it 3 days ago, the manager then said "well you obviously got it from somewhere else, as we don't have it" basically calling me a liar!!!! Disgusting behaviour from staff and the manager. Do not go to this Gails!!! They are so rude!! And do not deserve your custom. I certainly won't be...

Only reason I chose Nero, rather than the superior Gail’s next door, was because I needed to do some work on my laptop and needed a socket to charge it. Despite the shop being open for another two and a half hours, the staff had clearly decided to begin to wind down the cafe for the day meaning i was instructed to move from the table at which I was sat with a socket. The idea that I would have asked to have my coffee in, rather than takeaway, for any other reason that to charge my laptop is laughable. The atmosphere was a mixture of the smell of disinfectant, disinterested staff, and four customers crammed into a space the size of a shoebox. Very poor and annoying service. I want...
