Been to Gail's today at 18.15 and was looking for a place to have a coffee with a friend. I was really inspired already from the outside so went in immediately. I saw a brunette barista at the coffee machine so as we didn't see anywhere at what time they were closing, I asked her if the coffee machine was still open and if we could order. I would have accepted a no and understood, however I was stared rudely by her and told me they were still open (she sounded also annoyed I even asked). So we ordered a small latte and a regular oat cappuccino. When we received them, they were shoved on the table rudely and when we tried them, both coffee were inverted (we received a small cappuccino and a regular oat latte and also they were burned). Will never come back again for the treatment we received out of nowhere. I have been visiting this cafe every weekend for the past month as it is the only cafe in the area that opens early on a weekend. Every time I visit I’m always disappointed by how rude the staff are, particularly the baristas. Today again when I collected my coffee from the male barista I said thank you and asked for some sugar but was ignored. I asked again and was ignored again. I finally raised my voice and said hello and a female staff member responded nicely. The two new female employees that have joined in the last two weeks are polite and friendly so there is hope for this venue but I think I’ll travel further to spend my money else where every weekend moving forward. I wish this cafe created a friendly environment where you feel welcomed to visit and form bonds with locals and regular customers.
