OMGGGGGGG! This is my new favourite place in East London. I am a mega icecream addict & this place is awesome for the quality, service & price.
My favourite thing was the different flavours and that they let me try a few types before. The servings were generous. I'm glad it is not too close to home as I'd come here too much. All week after coming, I kept thinking about when I could go back!
I also bought a takeaway baklava which was absolutely divine.
The service was wonderful and makes such a difference. It makes me want to return.
We sat outside, as they have an outdoor seating area, & the ladybug which settled on my arm was such a lovely distraction, though it meant my icecream melted in the cup while I was busy taking pics & video of it. 😝
The interior is charming and is quite instagrammable if you are a selfie person. I'm not. :p I prefer being behind the camera, and you'll mostly find nature shots from me.
I highly recommend this place. The sour cherries dark chocolate flavour lingered on my tongue for hours. It was awesome. Then tucking into my baklava later made my afternoon complete. I would say this was the best baklava I've had in London.
Update - it's winter so I popped in for takeaway baklava. I ended up buying some Greek Xmas cookies which I've never had before. The almond one is amazing and I am a hugeeeee fan. It's crumbly, soft and not too sweet. These would make great gifts. They sell 500g for £9. One cookie was £1. They are made in Greece!
BTW the icecream range is reduced over the winter.

Read moreSince they seem to care about their reputation, I should flag on here that hygiene is not respected by staff. They use dirty clothes for "cleaning" and don't seem to clean often between 2 services, specially during weekends (you can actually see dirty areas as well as the dirty sink full of dirty clothes from accross the till). Sometimes the shop is clean, sometimes that's very neglected. This is is a food shop, it needs to be clean! As a regular customer, I can tell that there is often one person only working in the afternoon, which is exploitation and can lead to long waiting time and people being moody. Adding that it is very obvious that some staff members are undertrained on many levels, which is very uncomfortable to witness. The person who seem to be the manager is despicable with staff and younger staff very laid back. Overall staff is not coordinated and mean. A part from the coffees and retail area, the quality is poor. It is a purely money making shop (otherwise, food would be better and staff would do better) with not so good ice creams that don't have the quality of a...
Read moreA local and small independent gelato store in the neighbourhood that is conveniently located next to a DLR station and is open till late Monday to Sunday until 9pm to satisfy those sugar cravings :) Since their opening, we have been consistently stopping by for some quality handmade gelato, especially after a long day of work or on the way back from a dinner where they serve uninspiring desserts. It is unlike gelato you’ll find across Italy (as this would heavily depend on the country where the ingredients are sourced from), but enjoyable nonetheless. They have a great selection of flavours which changes now and then, and unique Greek-inspired ones not commonly found elsewhere. Some of the flavours can be a hit or miss, but my go-to flavours are pistachio, dark chocolate with sour cherries, and summer berries. My gut instinct tells me you should always pick an ice cream or gelato that most closely resembles the colour of the natural...
