Unfortunately this was one the most unauthentic bowl of Phį» I had in my life. As a Vietnamese itās quite upsetting seeing our culture being misrepresented like this. The flavor of the soup was quite bland, there was no Hoi Sin or Sriracha which is typical to have with Pho, there was so sprouts and the sort of beef in there was something I have never seen before. The soup was served in a paper cup and throwaway cutlery for eat-in which is very unpleasaning. The whole point of a hot Beef Pho with fresh herbs and sprouts and sauce is absolutely missed. Nevertheless, the staff was really sweet and the order system is quick and great. However, as your owner is not Vietnamese, please inform yourself about our culture in a respectful manner if you represent our cuisine. I hope white people donāt think this is how Pho is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to give Hop a go since the queue over at Keu was too long and I really wanted a pho The disappointment was beyond compared when I opened the pot to see a sad looking broth smelling nothing like pho! Where is the roasted onion and spices aroma?
As a Vietnamese, I'm actually offended that the restaurant has the audacity to call this bland noodle soup "pho". Just because there is a box of herbs it doesn't guarantee a noodle soup a pho. The chicken is not sliced chicken breasts but garlic / honey sautĆ©ed thighs making the broth sweet and garlicky š¤¢š¤¢!
It hurts me to throw food away but this monstrosity is not edible. The staff are nice and the place looks sleek but the investment on the quality of food is š. Will not come back and will not recommend this place for anyone who wants an authentic Vietnamese...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited the London Wall branch for lunch and had the Satay Chicken hop box. It was a balanced meal so you get equal amounts of salad, rice and chicken. However, I was still a little hungry even though I had a side as well because I need my carbs. Anyway, the satay chicken was simply delicious, the sweetness and creaminess was just right and the chicken was tender because it was thigh meat. The pork ribs were ok but on the sweet side so I was glad I did not get the ribs HOP Box. Also had the Naked Broth which was vegetarian, it reminded me of something yeasty in taste yet it was chickeny even though there is no meat in it. Overall, I was impressed by the food and definitely loved the stylish foil boxes and how the food was laid out. I may come back to try the coconut curry and when they have...
