Really pains me to say this, but the food was really mediocre.

The flavours are all over the place, too much skin on the chicken, no flavour on the very bland pork, only to be smothered with a thick salty soya sauce, chilis and ginger garnish, topped of with lots or slices of cucumber.

With strong competition around the corner from mummy let alone the uncles elsewhere, the competition offers food at the same price, but much better quality. I would say this was a western take on Chinese food, but you had Chinese staff in the store! Guys, are you proud to call this representative of our cuisine?

For our company event attended by 40 staff, we placed a corporate lunch order with Rice Guys. Andrew, our contact, was both professional and responsive. The delivery was punctual, with food neatly packaged in sturdy, clean brown boxes, each labelled with the dish name. To further enhance the service, I would suggest adding stickers for dietary specifications like VE, GF, or Halal, allowing diverse customers to easily identify suitable options. AMAAAAZING!!! I grew up in Malaysia and I’ve been looking for authentic roasted hainanese chicken rice in London for ages - this is the real stuff. Most other places just do poached hainanese chicken rice (which is awesome as well) so this was a rare find. The chicken was as juicy as I remember from my childhood!!

My husband got the bbq pork and we shared the mapo tofu (I couldn’t resist!). Just the right about of mouth-numbing spice - comfort food all the way.
