The best wrap I have ever had in my life.
I went for chipotle for lunch, fancying a burrito. However, the queue was going out the shop, and they cost ten pounds. Instead, I turned around and saw the Papa-dum, and gave it a go. There was no queue, and the place was lovely. The ordering screens were efficient and worked brilliantly, but the absolute flavourful gorgeous succulent black garlic chicken wrap I had - from the first bite - made me so so happy that I had turned around and found this absolute gem of a place.
All the ingredients were so fresh, and I didn’t even need a bloody drink the chicken was so succulent! I cannot recommend this place enough, it deserves to have a queue going back to Moorgate station. I will certainly be coming back here and trying all of the other wraps, and bowls and everything which they have because I can guarantee it will be sublime.
Attached is the fastest picture I could take of that gorgeous wrap. It evaporated very quickly.
Will certainly be coming back to...
Read moreWas excited to hear this had opened, this branch is not eat in. Walked in and the staff were all in the back, no one to be seen and no menus displayed. After waiting a few minutes I looked around and saw 2 self order machines in the corner by the window. Went there to order a masala chai. Someone came out immediately to pour this and give it to me. No hello, no smile (even after I asked if the chai was sweetened), no goodbye. The chai itself was mediocre. Weak, like it hadn't been brewed long enough, with predominant taste of lemongrass. And worse, it wasn't boiling hot. And at £3.50 for a small cup. I know masala chai flavours are variable, and I like lemongrass - but where were the other masala? And why was the tea itself so weak?
Think the words 'disappointed' and 'poor customer service' are what I'm left with.
Will give it a miss - there are better...
Read moreFound this place whilst on the hunt for some lunch, i work close to St Pauls, so always on the lookout for something new. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Wrap and it was by far the worst paneer wrap I've ever tasted. I get back to the office and find that its stone cold, dripping in grease/oil and barely any paneer - i felt like i was eating a raw cabbage and onion wrap. I ended up throwing half of it away, waste of £8 in my opinion. Very disappointed because i had really high hopes for this, especially as there aren't many decent Indian restaurants in the area.
On the plus side, the restaurant looks nice, was easy to order on the touch screens, and the food was out very quickly, although now i realise it was probably because it was pre-made...
