Hot Stuff Traditional Fish Bar — Restaurant in London

DON’T GO HERE, THEY DONT DESERVE PEOPLES MONEY ANYMORE…. This shop has gone so down hill. Disgusting customer service, they don’t take card unless you spend a certain amount of money. The woman is rude the older man is rude, they have a younger guy working there now and no doubt he too will soon pick up their nasty attitude. They would score zero but the app won’t allow.

My daughter ordered the wrong amount of chips 1 large, 1 small. When I went into the shop and we realised I asked the man very nicely if he could refund her money as we only needed the large to share between us(and even that we didn’t finish cause the chips tasted like card board). He proceeded to make a big song and dance about not being able to process the refund because he’s already put it into the machine… flashing his hands everywhere and being extremely rude. Bare in mind he had not portioned up all the food,…so nothing would have been put back, just a return of her money. Very reluctantly as if he was returning £1000’s he did refund her money. They won’t be seeing us again I will go to the shop next door.. better still I’ll stop being lazy and...

If I could rate this shop a 0 then I would. Horrible service, rude employees and they shouted at me. Two men was working (I believe one was the owner), I placed my order and then they served 3 other customers that came into the shop after me (all the customers was men). After they gave these customers their food, he went on to prepare my food. Keeping in mind, I ordered the same as what the other customers had. Once he gave me my food, I asked to see the card machine of what he charged me, as I always check before tapping my contactless card. This is when he shouted at me and said 'WHY DO YOU NEED TO CHECK, I NOT OVERCHARGE YOU'. I polity said, I just wanted to see how much I am paying. He then went on to give me a receipt that I didn't ask for and said 'SEE' and then threw it at me. Very rude and shocking behaviour from them. I will not be returning and I would advise anyone else to look for an alternative. They also have a poor food rating score, which I should have taken into...

Disgusting! Visited this shop today with my daughter and was apprehensive to buy but we were hungry so we proceeded. Ordered 2 piece chicken for my daughter and chips and a portion of chips for myself. The chips were stale, rancid and tasted of old and dirty oil. I ate one, gagged- and the rest went straight in the bin. My daughter attempted to eat hers and the chicken smelled off (not foul; but just off and had a slight smell of curry? I think something was curried in the oil prior to the chicken being cooked) and she couldn’t finish it.

1 hour later; my daughter began complaining of a stomachache but it was bearable and she was distracted as we were at the park.

3 hours later and heading home; my daughter begins complaining of more stomach pain and expresses she needs to go to the toilet.

4 hours later and now home; she has not stopped using the toilet all evening.
