Finding good pizza can be a challenge in England but if you’re looking for a place that reminds you of New York style pizza and you’re not in the states. Italiano Pizza makes a fine substitute. They are located in The Old Street district part of town. This part of London has had some serious renovations over the last couple of years. And now there are apartments, businesses, and many universities and colleges nearby. If you are a businessman, looking for a quick inexpensive lunch, or looking for something that goes well with a pint, a Londoner wondering what New York pizza really is like or a tourist like my wife and I were missing more authentic American style pizza, you will like this place. The veggies were fresh and it was very tasty. The only complaint is there is no place to sit down. It is all take out and a short wait for the pizza made to order It is run by a father and son that are very friendly and live in the building next to the establishment....

This place is really insane. Rarely have I gone somewhere where the appearance of the establishment didn’t look like much but the food was incredible. I ordered a Mexican hot with a deep pan crust and it was genuinely one of the best pizzas I had. The pizza was melted evenly across the pizza and wasn’t plasticky/cardboard at all, the toppings were clearly fresh from that day (not frozen) and the crust was probably the best I’ve ever had on a pizza. It’s perfectly seasoned with a nice oregano flavour throughout and it holds up all the toppings nicely. It’s filling but delicious.

Pictured here is a small but i will get a medium next time. If you’re in need of some good pizza that isn’t the generic sourdough wood fired stuff you see plastered everywhere these days, this is the...

We found the number on google maps and called to order a big pizza to collect while on our evening walk. The man working there was super friendly and easy going, and had the pizza ready and took a payment when we arrived 10 minutes later. The pizza itself was loaded with toppings (we ordered the Italiano) and had a perfect amount of cheese and lovely thin (but not super thin) base. It’s made on a Pizza-Hut style oven, so not traditional, but is the best takeaway pizza and service you will get in Shoreditch - surpassing any of the chains. This will definitely be somewhere we will frequent. The sauces would hit differently if they were homemade, but no matter. The wings (spicy, not bbq) were also so nicely cooked and...

Such amazing pizza, a couple of times I go there now and such a delight every the time! The owner Mo is exceptional as well and so friendly. It’s amazing to see him passionate about what he does and tell you all about it. I would recommend to go there instead of ordering online though because the delivery apps (Uber eat / Deliveroo / jus eat) are raising the prices so much it’s insane! (12 or 13£ for the biggest pizza if you go, 18£ from their menu...). Shame on them!
