Me and my colleague chose to have lunch here which is like normal, we paid takeaway but sensed weather wasn’t nice so decided to eat-in, we apologised. However, when we were eating and talking, an middle aged asian staff came to us and checking our receipt without our permission(we just put the receipt on desk), she stared criticising us and being very rude to ask us leave right away, she was being very strong tone and seemed very angry to us which made everyone looking toward us, we know we made mistake to pay takeaway but stay eat in but we deserve some respect or gentle way, there are people in Camden suffering financial problem and people pay what they can, if this is the way how your staff treat people I m refusing to come again to this branch. There were loads of people seating around us which doing the same( I m not saying I m right, I did mistake indeed), but she only came to me and my friend(we both Asian girl), can I consider this is an racist event? We would love to pay full price and apologise, can we have an apology from your staff for being so rude and kicking us out of the store...
Read moreLovely crew, absolutely no problems there. But recently the ginger has changed, it used to be 90%plus ginger very healthy and with a better taste. Recently they've put more sugar in it and rice vinegar and the taste is off-putting. Also I would appreciate ingredients of the soups to be available on the ordering screen. Maltodextrin has a higher sugar load/glycemic index than even pure glucose at over 110units, yet it is classified as a carbohydrate not a sugar in the ingredients. I want to check what I'm eating. Also the inner lining of tea cups and soup bowls is lined with micro plastics which degrade much more as the temperature increases. (Obviously tea is at boiling temperature) So I would like to see a reinstatement of ceramic or multiuse/long life serving containers instead of ABSOLUTELY ENDLESS single use material that is unhealthy and contributes serious amounts of micro plastics into my diet!! It's time to change back to common sense and start reusing and washing out food-and-drink-holding containers!!! Lead the way itsu,...
Read moreitsu is a British chain of Asian inspired food that boomed in 2017 with over 90 branches in the UK with 50 in London. It appealed to me recently because of the Asian inspired buns and the Christmas dumplings. Went to three different branches. The first branch I visited was in Camden where there were lots of customers. Dumplings were selling like hot cakes and replaced quickly by the kitchen. There were so many dumplings to choose from: prawns and spinach, chicken and spring onions etc as well as the Christmas Cracker. The Christmas Cracker dumplings appealed to me as it was like a Christmas dinner inside a dumpling. They are filled with cranberry and turkey in a red dumpling wrap. Overall, the Christmas Dumplings were quite nice but a little sweet because I was expecting the dumplings to be tart. Although I was not wowed by their food, I love their creativity and probably will come back and try other...
