Oh. My. Gosh. If you’ve ever wanted a meal that feels like a royal feast, then Khans of Kensington is the absolute dream destination! The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with this intoxicating aroma of spices—it’s like your taste buds are getting VIP access to a culinary red carpet! You know you’re in for something special.
Let me tell you about the food. Where do I even begin? The biryani is so flavorful it practically sings in your mouth, with every bite a symphony of perfectly cooked rice and tender meat, bursting with aromatic spices that’ll have you dancing in your seat. The butter chicken? Oh, don’t even get me started. It’s like velvet, smooth, creamy, and rich, coating every piece of chicken with pure indulgence. It’s the kind of dish you’ll want to write poetry about. I might do that later.
And the naan—oh my sweet carb-filled heavens—the naan here deserves its own fan club. Fluffy, buttery, and the perfect balance of crispy edges and soft, pillowy center. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Honestly, I think I could live off their naan for the rest of my life and be deliriously happy.
The service is just as wonderful as the food. The staff is so warm and welcoming that you feel like family. They make you feel like you’re dining at home, if your home was a five-star Indian palace, of course. Every dish was brought out with such care and attention, you can just feel the love behind every bite.
Seriously, Khans of Kensington is next-level dining. If you haven’t been yet, stop whatever you’re doing, cancel your plans, and GO. It’s not just a meal—it’s a life-changing experience, one...
Read moreVisiting here tonight for the first time for my partners birthday after being recommended it by a local taxi driver. On arrival the man on the door was very polite and the atmosphere seemed relaxed. We ordered 2 starters and some popadoms. Battered prawns were very bland and tasted like cheap frozen prawns. Chicken puri was ok, not a lot of meat.. loads of onion. When they came to clear the starter plates he took our used cutlery off the plates and put them back on the table. I asked for new. I was told no? We then ordered our mains. Again, very bland all tasted like a supermarket jar curry. Prawns were very rubbery. Asked for a jug of water twice. Both times it didn’t arrive. No server came over to ask if everything was ok with our meals? Servers linger to take empty plates constantly. The meal came to £72 for 2 of us. We didn’t drink any alcohol and shared a rice. They added a service charge which I asked them to remove as I didn’t think service was very good. The server said oh and went and go someone else, another server came over and said extremely loudly ‘ so you don’t want to pay the service charge ‘ I can only imagine to try and embarrass me into paying it. Because we didn’t pay the service charge he stormed off and no-one said goodbye to us as we left although they had with everyone else! I’d like to point out they also wasn’t busy so no excuse! Won’t be...
Read moreVisiting from France, only here for 4 days and after seeing the reviews, booked this restaurant immediately. Upon arrival, greeted very nicely, especially by the youngest server. Another server came to take the order and suggested we take the "chip" appetizer for the table and flashed it very quickly on the menu. I saw 2,95 and said ok. Well, it ended up being by person and we were 6 with a child. What aggravated me is that they took it off the table as soon as the main dishes were served and we were halfway finished with the 4 sauces provided. It became a race to get you out of the restaurant after that point with sometimes 3 servers quickly swiping things off your table. I also asked for a To-go box because I hate waisting food and it was not well received. He gave me a very small box that could fit 2 handfuls of rice. My dish was actually bland, which I had never had in an Indian restaurant before and I tasted my husband's fish curry dish and it was bland too. 200 pounds later, a very big disappointment when you have come into a different country expecting to have a nice meal with friends on your vacation. It's a shame to take advantage of tourists by up- selling and not being honest about it and then rushing it off the table. Money seems to be their only objective. Very...
