Space - small, cozy, authentic, they make you feel like you’re in their home Music - lovely authentic music, please don’t change to American or English! Complimentary soup - 5 stars, ask for a lemon and squeeze a bit in, it’s perfect. Greek salad - delicious! It was served with no onions, but the menu said onions and any Greek salad I’ve ever had contains onions so please always prep with onions, it’s sooo good. I’d say you could also make the Greek salad smaller. It’s too big for one person and the price is too inexpensive for such a big portion. Main course Sea Bass, grilled - this was the highlight of the meal, absolutely delightful. I ate the entire thing. The flavors and set-up were delicious. If you’re adventurous and don’t mind doing some work, get the sea bass. Lots of people got the regular old chicken and lamb skewers, which I’m sure were fantastic, but I know the sea bass was superior, no doubt. Mint tea with little dessert trio - outstanding. The tea was strong and steeped well before it got to me, perfect post-meal beverage. The dessert trio was fantastic, the best little sweet treat. Service - it was attentive, albeit slow. I’m sure this will get better, but even if it doesn’t, it won’t really matter. Don’t come here expecting to rush in and out. It’s a homemade experience. Come patient and hungry, leave happy and full. You’re welcome.

A true hidden gem right at Paddington Station! We showed up 45 minutes before closing, but they still welcomed us and served everything fresh. They give a complimentary hot lentil soup as a starter (worth around £7!), plus we also got a freshly baked bread with delicious hummus. The food came out piping hot. I had the lamb quozi—neck piece—so tender and full of flavor, served with white rice and two sides: okra and aubergine soups. Worth every penny! Generous portions, authentic taste, and super reasonable prices, especially for central London. Definitely my go-to spot in Paddington from now on! Update: Went back after a month and was impressed again. This place nails authentic Arabic hospitality, vintage charm, polite service, and fork-tender lamb shank with loads of sides. Heavenly hummus and naan, in-house baklava, and complimentary tea. Respectful owner, spot-on flavours, peaceful vibe—rare in London. All at the most reasonable prices in the UK!

The restaurant is amazing, one of the best places I’ve eaten at in London. The atmosphere is quiet, warm, and familial, and the owner is incredibly nice and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The hospitality was outstanding: we were served three complimentary starters — a lentil soup for each person at the table, freshly baked Iraqi-style flatbread, and hummus. We ordered 4 items, Quzi, Meat, Meat Kebab, Mousel Kebbah, and a Greek Salad. The Greek Salad was fresh, generously topped with feta cheese. The Quzi was served with two sides — Mousakka and okra soup — which paired perfectly. The kebab was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The Kebbah was crispy and filled with meat. All in all, everything we ordered were delicious. The food quality and quantity were excellent, especially for the price. I loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. If I return to London, I’ll absolutely come back here again!

I want to start off by the two girls at the service were lovely and respectful and I cannot fault them in their warmth. However, the quality of the food and the time it took for that quality was abysmal. I have had the pleasure of being friends with many Iraqi families and have had authentic Iraqi food whenever I have visited the country, but nothing about the food or its flavour was authentic. Besides the hygiene issue that was apparent to me; a hair in my borek (which I kept quiet about) and the chicken being uncooked and looking raw, the flavour and seasoning was beyond lacking. There was practically no salt use or any spices used. The chicken was advertised as having a special sauce but the chicken was literally dry rubbed in colour changing spices and barely grilled. There was no flavour, and it smelled old. The food over all just smelled and tasted off. I never write reviews, and practically hate writing them but I had to because for the first time in my life, I left my plate uneaten which is absolutely something I never do, even if I don’t like the food. But this was beyond dislike, the food was just horribly inedible. I cannot fathom how the chef had the conscience and audacity to plate that food and declare it good enough value for customers to pay. It ruined the mood of us coming out to eat for New Year’s Day. Never again. Please do not make the mistake of coming here under the guide of it being authentic Iraqi or even...

Booked a table here at 10:30pm as we were arriving in London late. When we arrived the girl at the bar told us they were closing. We explained we had a table booked, a man from the back came and informed her that this was true. She did not seem happy with this. When ordering our food I order lamb skewers cubes and I asked if I could have it with rice not naan. She said she could make it with rice. When my food arrived I did not receive rice or lamb skewers cubes, I was given lamb kebab with naan. My partner had lamb shank with rice. All the food in general did not have much flavour and it wasn’t very warm. We order two sets of teas and only received one. It just seemed like the waitress was ready to go home as she put her coat on and kept watching us as we ate. The whole experience was not pleasant. The only good thing about it was the decent price of the food. Overall the taste of the food and the customer service was just terrible. I wouldn’t go...
