Kokoro Tooting — Restaurant in London

If there was the option to give no stars, then that is what I would be giving this establishment. The deliveroo service is appalling and they continue to deliver cold food unapologetically. The manager took no responsibility and categorically told me that my complaint is between me and deliveroo. Right in front of me he continued to hand over food that was not put in an thing that would retain heat. The driver turned up over 30 minutes late with the claim that he could not locate the address even though he called for directions which he clearly could not comprehend. I ended up having to go out to meet him half way down the road. When I order food, I expect it to be hot, delivered to my door and not by someone that has no concept of what good customer service looks like. I've been a massive fan of Kokoro ever since the first one opened in Kingston so you can imagine my excitement upon hearing one was opening up near me in Tooting. Sadly it did not meet the high standards held by the other Kokoro sites I have visited.

The staff weren't as friendly and welcoming as other kokoro sites The serving was mainly rice with a little bit of katsu chicken on top and for £6.95, that's an expensive bowl of rice! One of Kokoro's USPs is that they give you more for your money, not less! The katsu curry had huge chunks of uncooked carrot and raw onion which only added to the disappointment

I think the concepts are good, but the execution seems to have lost some of its foundations. I had the chicken Katsu, was surprised that it arrived after just 2 minutes, because the noodles were precooked and heated up in a microwave ! So they were horribly overcooked and just fall apart :(. The curry sauce was really quite bland and lacked depth, i suspect that is a dumbed-down version of the recipe they started with and now mass produced and reheated like the rest of it.
