Had a very disappointing experience with an order I made The inscription on the cake was not neat, which was disappointing as I was collecting the cake for a sensitive & special occasion The staff in store understood were understanding and offered another cake with no inscription as a gesture of good will without taking additional money When I called the main line to explain this and request a refund, marcela called the team in store to get confirmation and decided to override the decision made in store re the gesture and went on to refund for the inscription It was insulting as she continued to emphasis that I had misunderstood the team whilst in store, which is untrue Are just has no idea as to why they were willing to do above and beyond in this instance given the sensitive information I had shared
The service in this instance was beyond disappointing and as a customer I shouldn’t be told I lack comprehension skills and giving conflicting evidence all because someone in head office doesn’t agree with service which has been provided in store

Read moreHave been buying birthday cakes from Konditor for years. My wife is an excellent baker and makes all the other cakes in our house, so it's nice to get her a nice one for a treat. We walk past the shop a lot and she's made sure I know that this year she wants the lemon chiffon cake.
Popped in to order one today but, apparently, it's seasonal and they don't sell it in October. I can't exactly move my wife's Birthday to suit their seasonal cakes - she doesn't want Halloween pumpkin!
My only option would be some kind of special order. This would need to be their largest size, which I don't want or need and would inexplicably have an extra £10 fee on top of the usual charges. I'd be paying £100...just for the cake!
Needless to say, my wife won't be getting a lemon chiffon cake this year, nor anything else from Konditor. I've always praised the service in the store and recommended to many over the 10+ years I've been a customer. I'm now left disappointed and with a sour taste in my mouth...not...

Last night I realised I had been disorganised and needed to pickup the cake yesterday as per the Konditor email confirmation. I emailed Konditor help contact form at 9pm last night & had a call and response by 8am today from a lovely man called Tom, arranging for pickup of the same cake from the Cornwall Road store as a solution. The Cornwall Road store this Christmas Eve was bustling and busy but the staff all great, efficient, ready with my cake and in happy spirits.
