We booked L’Aventure for a date night after seeing so many great reviews. The restaurant itself is undeniably charming – intimate, romantic, and ideal for a cosy evening out. That said, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. While it was beautifully presented, the flavours were quite bland and didn’t bring the excitement we hoped for. If you’re looking for bold, memorable flavours, this might not be for you – though of course, taste is very personal.
We each had a starter and a main. The service started off pleasant, but after we declined wine (I’m currently pregnant), the attentiveness dropped. It took over 10 minutes to get the bill after asking, and no one checked in at any point to see if we were enjoying our food – which would’ve been appreciated.

We've made a reservation by phone for the lunch of the 25th of december (Christmas lunch) that we had to cancel. We phoned them 1 day before to advise them, in order to not show off and leave the table free for someone else.
The waitress on the phone was not respectful, she shout through the phone and put pressure on us to pay a cancellation fees (50£!!!!) !! There was no mention of any fee when the booking was placed, not even an email to confirm the booking or conditions ! They just put pressure to grab some money ! Which is unaceptable !
She claimed that they already bought the food... LOL is this for real ?

both went down a treat
The ambience was lovely, romantic and very pleasant.
