We booked L’Aventure for a date night after seeing so many great reviews. The restaurant itself is undeniably charming – intimate, romantic, and ideal for a cosy evening out. That said, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. While it was beautifully presented, the flavours were quite bland and didn’t bring the excitement we hoped for. If you’re looking for bold, memorable flavours, this might not be for you – though of course, taste is very personal. We each had a starter and a main. The service started off pleasant, but after we declined wine (I’m currently pregnant), the attentiveness dropped. It took over 10 minutes to get the bill after asking, and no one checked in at any point to see if we were enjoying our food – which would’ve been appreciated. All in all, I personally found it overpriced for what it was. That said, it might be a better fit for those enjoying a full meal with wine, where the overall experience could feel more complete. The setting is lovely – just wish the food and service matched the ambiance.

L'Aventure offered a truly exceptional dining experience. The onion tart, with its perfect cooking and balanced goat cheese, was a unique and delightful starter. The main course, featuring the exceptional veal, was a feast for both the palate and the eyes with its remarkable presentation. What's worth noting is that L'Aventure follows a set menu format, allowing you to choose between various combinations. You can opt for a starter and a main course, or go for the full experience with a starter, main course, and a delectable dessert, like the phenomenal apple tart. While L'Aventure may be on the pricier side, the quality, presentation, and range of options in the set menu make it unquestionably worth the investment for a truly unforgettable culinary journey.

Outstanding French fare, great service and a really nice European vibe - the onion tart and the monkfish special were delicious, and the veal and the quail were very good too. Desserts were good, though not as good as the savoury dishes. Really nice staff and loved their playlist as well as their selection of wines! Will be back.

This restaurant is a SCAM ! Don't even think of going there !!!

We've made a reservation by phone for the lunch of the 25th of december (Christmas lunch) that we had to cancel. We phoned them 1 day before to advise them, in order to not show off and leave the table free for someone else.

The waitress on the phone was not respectful, she shout through the phone and put pressure on us to pay a cancellation fees (50£!!!!) !! There was no mention of any fee when the booking was placed, not even an email to confirm the booking or conditions ! They just put pressure to grab some money ! Which is unaceptable !

She claimed that they already bought the food... LOL is this for real ?

This restaurant is a joke ! The staff are a bunch a clowns ! There are many good french restaurant in London that you should check if you want a real french experience !!!! or at least a well...

I took my partner for his birthday and the main meal was exquisite. The only thing I would say is that the portions could’ve been a little more generous all round because we both left hungry.

The owner was warm and welcoming and the staff were also very friendly.

To start I had the scallops & muscles and he the foie gras - he thoroughly enjoyed the pate, for me the scallops and muscles could’ve been abit more exciting to the pallet.

The main - he had the lamb and me the sea bass chefs kiss to both

Desert was also wonderful! We shared the crème brûlée which came as two mini pots; one pistachio and one normal and paired that with the apple tart.

both went down a treat

The ambience was lovely, romantic and very pleasant.

we both would definitely...
