Nestled in the charming neighborhood of Hanwell, L’Oro di Napoli is a true gem for lovers of authentic Italian cuisine. This cozy and inviting restaurant effortlessly transports you to the streets of Naples, offering a dining experience that feels as warm and genuine as the food it serves.
The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Neapolitan pizza, baked to perfection in a traditional wood-fired oven. The crust is light and airy, with just the right amount of char, and the toppings are of the highest quality. The Margherita, with its rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, is a testament to the beauty of simplicity. For those seeking something more indulgent, the Diavola, with spicy salami and a hint of chili, delivers bold flavors in every bite.
Beyond pizza, L’Oro di Napoli offers an array of other dishes that showcase the best of Italian cuisine. The melanzane alla parmigiana, a comforting classic made with layers of eggplant, tomato, and cheese.
The restaurant itself is a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. Exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and friendly staff create a relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel instantly at home. Whether you're visiting for a casual meal with friends or a special evening out, the ambiance is just right.
What truly sets L’Oro di Napoli apart is the passion and attention to detail evident in every aspect of the experience, from the perfectly balanced flavors to the attentive service. It’s clear that the team here takes pride in bringing a slice of Naples to London.
In a city brimming with dining options, L’Oro di Napoli stands out as a haven for anyone seeking authentic Italian food. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience that stays with you long after the last bite. Highly...
Read moreCame for a late lunch after a long walk by the Hanwell Locks. Upon entry, I was casually greeted, presented with the menu and shown to a table.
I started with a serving of their homemade bread, which came drizzled with olive oil and was served with rocket leaves and a olive oil + balsamic vinegar dressing. Seeing as this was barely £3, one of the lowest-priced starters, I wasn't expecting much. Boy did I get a pleasant surprise! The bread was crusty and had a fluffy centre that absorbed the dressing well, which made for a very satisfying bite. I highly recommend this as an affordable and delicious starter!
Next, I went for the Toto pizza. This seemed like a 'variety' sort of pizza, where you get to try as many toppings as possible, but none of which are 'premium' toppings (e.g. plain ham vs parma ham, normal mozzarella vs DOP buffalo mozzarella). For £8.50, you get ham, mozzarella, mushrooms, basil and Parmesan on a tomato base. Even without 'premium' toppings, I could taste the quality of the ingredients, and as you can see from the image, they were not stingy with them either!!
This small eatery is run by Italians who provide quick and friendly service. Their customers seem to consist of local families and a lot of their business comes from takeaway orders, which isn't surprising considering that they specialise in pizza. Orders can also be delivered, and they've partnered with Just Eat for this, which I'm sure many folks are happy about.
Overall, this place has really been a gem of a find, and I wish I lived closer as I'd definitely be a regular customer of theirs. Inexpensive authentic Italian pizzas made with quality ingredients, what more could...
Read moreI order quite often cheese pizza as it’s incredibly delicious sometimes it just can’t get enough of it. sometimes you get disappointed by the pizza probably is because of the staff or not sure but they know how to make the most delicious pizza you could try around London area.
Update: last pizzas i received weren’t baked enough. When they bake pizzas a lot you just can’t get enough of them. I will leave the stars as 5 i hope they will bake em till a bit burnt this time. The taste is omg
**update: im putting down the stars as again last time i ordered arrived again unbaked. Even if i asked to be very very baked till burned as i love my pizza burned and they can make amazing tasty cheese with some burnt so you can enjoy eating the whole pizza. But arrived both not baked as required. I will come back later to delete this one as im ordering 2 the same. I hope they will arrive as great as they know how to make them sometimes especially when extras required. Last time i enjoyed a bit burned pizza they changed the very next day the hand on pizza as i pressed a *option of burnt pizza by mistake on review, but that’s how i love them. However i removed that maybe that’s why they changed pizza and now they don’t make em burnt as before.
Im ordering tonight so hopefully will arrive a bit burnt and full of cheeses and really as delicious as only them can have cheese italian pizza done...
