La Mia Cucina — Restaurant in London

I am one of their customers who has been there so many times as it’s local to me and it’s a very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere.

It has recently changed management and now has become terrible.

Since it changed I have been there 4 times. The fish is amazing but the service is very slow and after what happened to me on Wednesday I won’t go back.

I went with a friend for dinner. They told us where to sit and we were sitting there for a good 20 minutes before someone came asking if we were ready and we didn’t even have the menu. Then, he brought us the menus and we ordered a starter and two pizzas.

They didn’t bring me cutlery even once the starter was on the table, the same thing happened with my drink. Then, people sitting at 2 other tables that came after us were served before us, which doesn’t really make any sense.

The starter, 4 calamari took forever to arrive, then once I got my cuttlery and drink and we started eating and chatting and everything, so we were not super quick eating it took ages again for the pizzas to arrive.

Surprisingly, when they arrived my friend’s one was the wrong one not what he had ordered so it took us 5 more minutes for the waiter to come back to us and tell him the issue and ask them to make the correct one which again took ages while they were serving other customers who had arrived later than us.

We finally had to share dinner to be able to eat something. Pizzas have nothing to do with the ones they made previously, the dough wasn’t properly cooked and the ingredientes are very low quality and not even cut nicely… I’ve got pictures from the previous exact same pizzas and have nothing to do with the ones they are serving now.

It is supposed to be an Italian restaurant but I’d advise to order anything other than pizza or pasta.

Earning a customer is very difficult but losing it is very quick and easy… and they only apologised, we didn’t get any discount or anything for all the inconvenience and what was supposed to be a lovely evening with an amazing dinner turned into an absolute nightmare so never again.

I hope they work on customer service abilities because the service is currently appalling if they have people in 3 tables, they seem to not be able to manage it properly and apologise accordingly about...

Rude, overcharge and then the staff watch you and talk about you while you eat as you complained.

Been here a few times usally very nice but today we asked 2 chicken mozzarella and Avocado meals and "JUST a plain omelette" for a child (very small child) we even pointed to the child.

Firstly the menu states that the sandwiches can be ordered before 5pm it was 4.46pm and the small guy was really funny about us ordering it. We did state it says before 5pm.

Small guy took the order all smiles and was really nice, when the food came out we explained that not what we ordered they brought a whole adult meal. Omelette, chips and salad- even put the plate infront of a adult, just shows you they knew a child couldn't eat that.

The little man got very angry and trying to tell us that's what we ordered, which was not true.

Told me to take it away, I explained I don't want a whole meal and it should of been his job to of checked if we wanted chips and salad as we asked for JUST A plain omelette.

So disappointed with the service and the attitude of the staff. When this happened (explained the food was wrong) the staff then decided to stare at us and talk away to themselves about us.

Then charged us £4.20 for a kids omelette!

Now I always recommend here to everyone as it's usally a nice atmosphere and nice food but unfortunately if the small guy doesn't like what you order or even gets the order wrong he gets mad, very mad.

Unfortunately we won't be going back and certainly not recommending here any more.

They rip you off!

Any good restaurant would say oh I'm sorry I thought you meant a whole meal and just take it back, but no they blame you and you have to fight to have it taken away then...

Misogynistic and aggressive waiters and behavior. I would not recommend..I came here with my 6 year old daughter. I ordered us 2 set menus, when I said if they could do a child portion ( removing mushrooms etc).and add a juice instead, they said yes, and proceeded to say what 3 items I wanted. Ironically my breakfast also was much portion compared to someone sitting next to me ( less hash browns/ baked beans). I'd also asked if my coffee was part of the set breakfast, he said yes and kept saying yes.on the bill they charged my daughters breakfast as per items, full price for child portions, costing more than the set breakfast. Additional coffee, additional juice plus for a place that's a 'cafe standard' another £4 for service. When I went to the counter to say, I believe my bill is wrong, for the sever to immediately respond with _ you are wrong in the head. After a few exchanges _ the younger guy came around the counter to my face talking to me in a agressive and patronising manner, at this point my 6yr was absolutely terrified. I paid what i thought was correct and left, even on leaving they were screaming get out and dont come.back we dont need you..bunch of idoit, unprofessional rude men, with no manners, zero family friendly.

The food less than average / highly salty, ovedcooked and reheated (bacon and sausages!)_ tipid coffee and provided really cheap soggy white barely toasted bread. The baked beans was nice though.

Blue bell is so much nicer establishment down the road_ we normally go there but we'd found paking closer to this place and thought we'd try it _ never again. 2 tables walked out during the audication with the waiters. My daughter was upset...
