Happy Sunday dear people! Let me start with something very important! Don’t forget to Smile! Life is a gift! This is sweet and short review for right now. 😊 don’t worry a longer review is coming soon. Stay tuned. This place is absolutely my fave! Let me also say the customer service is outstanding! For me that is super important and the energy of the place is spot on. Even though they have long lines at times around 3pm for their famous pastry and I will write about this some other time. They give attention to other customers as well. Bravo! The deserts here are fantastic. Let me start with the apple tart. Oh boy, soft yet crispy at the bottom, layered with dark thin layer of chocolate. I love the touch of cinnamon and nutmeg mixed with apples that are done to perfection in my opinion! For me there is nothing worse, than when apples are not roasted correctly and they cut them way too big. This apples were delicate and delicious. As whip cream lover I must say they perfected the fresh cream! Touch of gold leaf on top just elevated this desert and bravo for food decoration! To me that also matters. So thank you. Moving on to a raspberry pistachio desert. Fresh and light and so tasty! Pistachio cream that is made of real pistachio yet rich but with balanced cream. If you love fruit desert you will not be disappointed! Since I love pistachio cream and if you don’t make your own I am happy to recommend a store in Bayswater. It’s Italian deli, they have a fantastic pistachio cream form Italy that you will love it. The deli is called PREZZEMOLO AND VITALE . Check them out. Last but not the least, wow this desert was something else. Hazelnut praline was full of flavor just what roasted hazelnuts supposed to give in terms of flavor and richness. Filled with hazelnut flan and touch of caramel. Smooth and crunchy all over. Beautiful decorated and to me as an artist, Bravo again! Hope you will check them out! Love going there so maybe I will see...
Read moreDuring a recent visit to Le Deli Robouchon in Mayfair for tea, my experience took an unfortunate turn that left me feeling violated and disappointed. I feel compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale to others.
While enjoying our tea at a table, a woman wearing a hijab and a mask approached us and engaged in a deceitful act of theft. She attempted a bait and switch tactic, distracting us while she made an attempt to touch our food and swiftly grabbed my phone. It was a shocking and distressing moment that left me feeling violated and deeply concerned about the safety of my belongings.
I immediately informed the staff about the incident, hoping for their assistance and support. However, their response was disheartening. They informed me that the same woman had been seen in the establishment the week before, suggesting that they were aware of her presence but had not taken any proactive measures to address the situation. This lack of action and concern from the staff only added to my disappointment.
In an effort to seek resolution and express my concerns, I sent an email to the company detailing the incident. Unfortunately, I never received a response, which further compounded my frustration and left me feeling unheard.
I implore anyone planning to visit Le Deli Robouchon in Mayfair to exercise extreme caution, especially if you have valuable jewelry or phones on the table. It is disheartening to have to issue such a warning, but my experience serves as a reminder that even in seemingly safe and reputable establishments, incidents like these can occur.
It is my sincere hope that Le Deli Robouchon takes this incident seriously and implements measures to ensure the safety and security of its patrons. In the meantime, I urge everyone to remain vigilant and take extra precautions to safeguard their belongings while dining out. Sent...
Read moreI was extremely surprised by the quaity of the products. Had a galette des rois and a pain au chocolat and I was stunned. Robuchon is such a big name that I was expecting the food to knock me off my feet. Well it didn't happen. The galette des rois is on par with Paul's (but you will pay almost half price there and with Paul you know where you going. Quality is above average and a lot better than what you would expect from a supermarket for instance) but the pain au chocolat was a bit disappointing to say the least. When I opened the bag I was kind of suspicious as there was a strong ressemblance with the products you get from Waitrose or M&S but then I thought hang on we're talking Robuchon here wait until you bite into the little fellow. I did bite and it does taste like what you would expect from a supermarket. So I'm not too sure where the 4.4 stars are coming from. Either I have very bad taste (it's possible) or the customers of the Deli Robuchon are not really discerning (that's possible too). They are so many amazing pastry shops and/or bakeries in London and some of them aren't French (Black Bird in South London has great quality products at an affordable price) than when you come across a big French name and quality doesn't stand up to pastry chefs no one has ever heard of I find the whole thing a tad bit ludicrous. Try the Deli Robuchon and then if you fancy great pastries and cakes try Aux Merveilleux de Fred, Christophe Gasper @Sketch, Miel, Black Bird (if you fancy some amazing bread and go South of the river), L'Eto (some of their cakes are really good, on the rich side though) instead so you'll have something to compare to. They are probably many more amazing places here in London I haven't come across yet but I'm working on it. Eat cakes and pastries...
