Could not be more disappointed! Today was my birthday and I’m spending the weekend in London with my mum. A lovely day with brunch in London and a show followed by what was meant to be a lovely Spanish tapas. Issues 1 - when we got there we had booked for 7pm but there were no tables free. The way they looked was as if they hadn’t reserved our table. We were asked if we wanted to sit down in the basement bit which was ok but not much atmosphere. Not great when it was booked weeks ago and booked under birthday celebrations. Issue 2 - the service was very slow. We ordered half a bottle of wine and tap water. The wine took 10+ minutes and no water. We said we were ready for food so she said she’d be 1 minute. 10 minutes later she returned. We had to ask again for the tap water. In the middle of eating the waitress also put her handed over the pouring part of the jug to check if there was water left… why would you touch it? Issue 3 - the table behind us who ordered after us get received all their food first .. where was ours? 10 minutes later she tried to give them one of our dishes, then we finally got it. But that was it. Fed up of waiting for the rest we ate the one tapas and then I complained to the waitress that it was now nearly an hour and 15 minutes since we ordered and we had got one dish! Issue 4- 10 minutes after my complaint about the time she came over to tell us one of the 4 dishes we ordered wasn’t available. This was an hour and 20 minutes after we ordered! Ridiculous! We ordered a different choice; to be told a few minutes later this was available either. What Spanish tapas restaurant doesn’t have chorizo…? 🤷🏻♀️🤯10 minutes later the rest of our food arrived, one hot, one rarely luke warm. Issue 5- a Spanish tapas meal, with 3 dishes and wine took 2 hours!!!! 2 hours!! 😳😳 Issue 6- I wanted to speak to the manager about the service, being put downstairs, the time to get food. His response, well that dish is popular… why take an hour and 20 minutes to tell me it isn’t available! The rest he brushed aside and didn’t have time for us.
We paid the full bill, we got nothing as an apology and even were given a bill with a service charge on which we asked to be taken off! To still no apology and a disgusted look. I will absolutely not come here again, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. Absolutely appalling service and not an ounce of...

I came here with my wife for a dinner date and we were not disappointed. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, clearly family run and well maintained. It has a authentic Spanish feel and I did not feel like I was in the middle of London.
Drinks wise, they had a wide range of wine and Spanish beers also.
Wide range of Spanish dishes available staying true to roots of the cuisine. We ordered a range of dishes:
Olives: Not overpowering but great introduction to the meal. Good olives and super tasty.
Ham croquetes: The spicy aioli which was paired with these was amazing. The croquetes themselves were not greasy at all and full of flavour.
Octopus: Okay, but too oily and potentially overcooked. Not a pleasant feeling in the mouth and was disappointed to say the least.
Prawn: These were deveined which is something more restaurants need to do, big thumbs-up from me. Juicy, flavourful, and I would recommend these to anyone who enjoys prawns.
Artichokes: Even though these are fried they were also not greasy and had a nice gentle flavour. Lovely and creamy.
Stew: Flavourful, filling. The black pudding had a nice spice and the combination of flavours was a lovely addition to the meal.
Paella: Light, good lemon added to add acidity. Ingredients fresh and flavourful. Overall, a good implementation of the classic dish.
By the end of the meal we were full and had a great night.
The toilets were clean which is another attention to detail which is appreciated.
The service we received was pleasant and engaging. Our waitress offered us a free limoncello / hazelnut liqueur shot at the end of the meal and she also helped us with Spanish pronunciation of the menu. She clearly enjoyed working with people and made our meal a very pleasant experience.
Overall 4.5/5 - everything in the restaurant was great but the Octopus was sadly a disappointment. The service was excellent however and you will be made to feel very welcome when...
Read moreRevisited it a few weeks ago with three friends. Now awarded it 5 stars because the service was so amazing. The staff helped us with our food and wine order. Didn't fuss when l wanted a different one by the glass and were patient when the bill was divided amongst us. We did book ahead this time and would definitely recommend that if you intend to go on. Friday as we did. After 7 pm this place is packed.
Charming rustic local tapas restaurant that's always busy. Managed to get a table without booking on a Tuesday. Surprisingly quick service and patient waitresses considering how fussy my granddaughter is and my pregnant daughter deciding how many plates she could eat. Thumbs up on beef bourginon with rice, chickpea spinach cumin stew, fresh garlic bread, chicken n cheese, and guacamole dip with tacos, not all eaten by one person ! . My son even joined us after his appointment to down a lemon sorbet and my daughter got second wind to eat a pretty berry decorated cheesecake. This place more than deserves the plaudits and certificates it has on its windows. It's cosy, it's decor reminding me of my mum's favour Mediterranean wallplate collection and they go the extra mile for a birthday party supplying possibly the most exciting cake I've seen in a while with raspberries, marshmallows and other goodies on top. Wanted to take a photo of it but didn't want to intrude. You'll have to make do with the others l took. I've not awarded five stars because my stew had peppers in it which on sensitive to and they weren't included in the description on the menu. I should have perhaps asked about the ingredients to avoid...
