Brook Brown Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in London

The food was nothing special for the price you pay. The service however was terrible. Waited 50 minutes for our food. My friend ordered a jacket potato and the tuna looked like it was just poured from the tin, no attempt to make it look nice. By the time the mains came out, the toast was already cold that they bought out a whole 30mins earlier with the tea. The other customers looked unhappy too and one family walked out without paying. This added to a stale environment. When questioned, the lady behind the till said it was not her fault that the food was late and shrugged. I really loved this cafe. It’s a typical English cafe, very hard to find lately in this area. Very clean, the ladies at the desk were very polite and attentive. The chef was great and all three worked together really well, to serve the customers. It was a delight to see.

The chef gave me what I asked him to select. A delicious cheese omelette with vegetables. The omelette was perfect, not too cheesy, or thick or thin, the vegetables and cheese were so delicately combined , it was a meal as light on the stomach as needed but at the same time left me feeling satisfied.

Food quality seemed to be okei, but one star cause when asked if it's chicken liver in breakfast dist, was served beef liver. Other biggest breakfast black pudding was taken extra, which was not served on a plate and had to ask for it. Coffee was also forgotten, had to ask it after breakfast was on table.
