Mani's — Restaurant in London

I was massively disappointed with the service here yesterday. We requested a table in the shade and at the time there was none available so I said we would be seated in the sun providing that when a table in the shade comes available that we would be moved. They agreed. On 3 different occasions there was the opportunity for us to be moved and I asked several times for us to be moved to those empty tables but they sat other walk in customers down in those seats instead. At one point a couple came in and requested a seat in the shade and they set up a brand new table opposite the cafe under the real estate entrance just so that couple could have shade. I couldn't help but notice that we were the only POC (people of colour) at this cafe and our multiple requests to be moved into the shade were ignored. Food was also average. I don't usually write negative reviews but yesterday it was clear that there was a blatant disregard for our requests and its just funny how as the only darker toned customers at the cafe were pushed aside and not catered for. I recently visited Manis Cafe, and it was an absolute delight! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Fancy brunch places with high prices — be warned! First time at Mani’s and had nothing short of a stellar omelette with a side of their Chili sauce, not to mention a fresh greens side salad and chips, all for a bargain at £7.30. Aside from the food, all coffee is made with sought-after Monmouth coffee beans, and my latte was delicious. The service runs parallel with the food, very pleasant and attentive staff.
