Read moreAVOID this place. If you're starving to death and have ordered a meal, you'd have a better time raising a family of cows, breeding the finest heard of them and then butchering them to make yourself a meal, all of this would be faster than the time it takes to receive your food. (I may be exaggerating slightly, but a waiting time of 15-45 minutes is a little bit much for my fast food)
Maybe I'm the problem?
Every time I go here I have a terrible experience, I leave it for a few months and go back and then have a terrible time again...
This time I ordered on the app ahead of my arrival. This is a restaurant that caters for drive thru and delivery drivers before the in store customers. I've received my food quicker through a Deliveroo order than going in person.
The service is SLOW. I watched as the staff bumbled around and argued, one member of staff spotted my order which had been sat on the counter for about 5 minutes and asked another what was happening. It was waiting on a coke? The machine where they put it under and press a button. I'm stunned by the difficulty to push out orders in store, having spent my childhood playing Papa's pizzeria on miniclip I'm aware how customers feel when left waiting. However unfortunately for me we have to pay in advance these days so I couldn't give up and leave with a red head. Needless to say I wasn't a happy customer today.
When I finally got my food which I'd ordered to take away they handed me the tray and I had to ask for the bag. The member of staff put the items into the bag and spilled about a quarter of the chips leaving them on the tray and handing me the bag. I stared at them and the chips and just left, there was no apology for wasting part of my meal or even any comprehension that...
Read moreSince the refurb, this is quite possibly the worst McDonald's I've visited in the whole of the UK. Firstly, the anti-bac gel dispenser at the entrance was empty - no big deal on this one, but as I soon discovered, it was a sign of things to come.. The ordering machine I used displayed an error when trying to print the receipt. So I had no receipt - no big deal I thought - I remembered my order number and could just let the staff know. I looked at the screen and my order number wasn't on there - Is anything here in working order? I waited by the kiosk for a while and had a look in the kitchen. Looked busy and understaffed. Anyway, my food finally came, but the server didn't have my hot drink. So I had to tell him I was missing the drink. He got me the drink but didn't provide any milk, so I had to remind him to give me some milk. Okay, I now have my food. All good? Sadly no. I went to look for a table and guess what? Out of the 10 or so vacant tables, only 2-3 were clean. The rest had trays, empty containers and food on them. There were no staff checking or cleaning the tables. Both bins were full to the brim with extra rubbish left on the side. Great. I found a table and tucked into my Big Mac - it was only lukewarm and tasted like it had been left out for a while. At this point I just wanted to finish and leave. At least the fries and drink were hot. The staff at the kiosk was generous with the sauce though. Nice staff, nice new building, BUT the place was badly run and in need of a management overhaul. I won't be coming back...
