I visited at around 8 am, carrying luggage and in a LOT of pain due to a severe injury. I sat down and tried to attract the attention of the only available staff member who I think was the cleaner. She did her best to ignore me and when I did finally speak to her and explain that I was in agony and couldn't stand she didn't seem to understand a word I was saying.... She attracted a colleague (possibly a manager?) who agreed to assist - it was NOT immediately apparent that there WAS table service. The table service "zones" are crazy to me btw! The place was busy but there weren't the queues I expected at that time of day (reading other reviews perhaps potential drive-through customers should consider parking as the entrance is unbelievably convenient for the car park which seemed a reasonable size for the location!) My food was brought to my table without a carry-out bag, salt and pepper, or napkins so I - again - had to "run the gauntlet" and ask the young woman who was cleaning for help. She didn't understand what salt was. I assumed that this was one of the first words in the McDonald's literature, it's certainly up there when I think about them (alongside "saturated fat" and "sugar" - and I am also old enough to remember the mantra of "it's McDonald's own cola"!). By the time she had got assistance and my (I think relatively day-to-day) request for salt (I had given up on the prospect of pepper by this point, but like all seasoned travellers I usually have purse-pepper) (I usually have salt too, but - despite all evidence to the contrary - this review is about McDonald's, not about me...)... So, by the time I had salt my hot food was a bit too cool.... Imagine getting hot food then reading THIS review before you can eat... OVERALL, staff MUST have basic English (I don't think she understood when I said goodbye and thank you on leaving!), but the staff on duty were fine, I was surprised to see parking was available, and the food was McDonald's! It seemed clean, but I imagine it feels pretty claustrophobic in busy times - I like the outdoor seats....
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting customer service from these staff members, who do not act in any way professional from the cashiers to the managers. I requested for salt with no chips and when I collected my order I then requested for a sachet of salt. The server (who refused to give me his name and also the manager) shouted in front of all the customers “why I ask for no salt on chips then ask for separate salt” I was shocked that he felt the need to say this so loudly as I suffer with high blood pressure and have been advised by my Doctor to watch the amount of salt I take in a day so wanted to do this myself rather than have this done for me. I explained it was not up to him to question why I requested this as I am a paying customer, he then shouted for his manager who he knew was going to take his side. His shift manager name was Raja who also did not deal with my concern in appropriate way and instead of talking to me directly was looking at other customers as if he was trying to explain the situation to them. I never felt so small and not listened to and even when they passed me over to their other manager who refused to give me any other staff name I realised that there was no point of arguing with small minded people like them. I will not be returning to this McDonalds and will make me even question returning back to any McDonald’s as I’ve never felt so embarrassed in a public space in my life. I Hope McDonald’s are able to give the appropriate training to the staff they hire and when request are made this should not be questioned especially if this is coming from a paying customer. I will be taking this further and contacting McDonald’s customer service department directly as something needs to change. If I could give a -10/0 for customer...
Read moreUnfortunately, this McDonald's Drive Thru restaurant fell under par for the following reasons:- They took way too long to prepare the food. They took way too long to serve the food. The customer service was extremely poor; no one announced via their speaker system that there was a delay. The customer in front, whose order was taking forever, beeped & called out to her to ask her if the Team/Crew, were aware she was waiting. She responded "yes & didn't know what was taking them so long - she'd ordered a drink!". On finally reaching the 'order' window, explained to the young lady, wasn't beeping necessarily at her/the Team/Crew, was just getting the previous customer's attention to find out, if the team/crew knew she was waiting. Needless to say, was met with a blank stare. Reiterated the statement and finally got a nod of acquiesce. The food was cold and dry (no juice or moistness present - hence, not fresh, as per McDonald's reputation!
Based on the above, won't be going or ordering from that branch again, unless, overall, they do better. Sorry, but it's a...
