I came for the second time today, and I had the pleasure to meet again the calm, peaceful, mystic atmosphere that surrounds this lovely store.

I've spent lot of time reading all the teas healty proprieties, everything is so clear and satisfying, so much different than the common shops: you can understand what you're trying or choosing, especially if you are always looking for further informations and insights to get something that reflects your request. Products are all packed (especially teas) in a chinese vintage style japanese box that makes them perfect not only for personal purchase but for beautiful gifts and present as well. I have decided, after a long gym session, to sit down and taste an energizing tea, The staff was lovely and nice to me, made me feel comfortable straight away, sit down in a space decorated with chinese pictures, that made me feel relaxed and free. I Had a Green Coil tea, on the menu Energizing tea, suggested by the tea bar assistant. He perfectly got my request, I couldn't be more satisfied! I literally spent my time reading the menu and all the proprieties, again, of all the teas (apparently there's a very intriguing tea ceremony as well!) After my invigorating and energizing tea I couldn't leave the store...I decided to explore the session dedicated to books and tools..I literally Felt so relaxed between feng shuang tools and interesting rare books about such wide assortment of topics. (I think is actually the only store that keeps these kind of books ).

The staff is nice and beautifully calm, gentle and ready to help you..There's such a good energy going around every corner of this lovely. I purchased a pair of Qigong Spheres and tiger balm ( that I did know from before as long we do use it a lot in Martial Arts.). The Lady that helped me It's been very helpful and nice, her advice and explanation it's been like a treat !

I will definately come back, as long as I got my loyalty tea card as well. To whoever treats the body as a temple, this is the place where to start!

Suggested and reccomended...

I have been having terrible menstrual pain since 2-3 years ago and given all I got prescribed by GPs was extra-strong painkillers that never helped, I decided to seek help from a Chinese doctor. My first visit was eye-opening and almost spiritual - they spend 2 hours with you going through all your issues, check your tongue colour, discuss your diet and lifestyle in detail etc. As a patient you really feel looked after by Dr. Lily. When I walked out of the door 1 consultation and 1 acupuncture treatment later, I was carrying two massive plastic bags full of Chinese herbs, which I was instructed to boil every evening (and drink the extracts to cure the pain) and cost me £256. I was told to return in a month, and then again I was charged another £200 for the next batch of Chinese herbs. It was difficult to tell whether or not they had a positive impact on my well-being - I still had the pains and the recurrent cramps - but what I was MOST DISAPPOINTED about was that, whatever you discuss with Dr Lily, it all ends up in the patient being prescribed bags full of herbs that will cost you a fortune over time. I was expecting more generic advice that could help me in my day to day life (e.g. drink more ginger tea, eat this kind of food and try to avoid that and that), but... no. An average Chinese person earns less than $2000 a year and surely they can't afford what I have been prescribed; and yet TCM (traditional chinese medicine) has a huge following in China. I felt like we were all getting ripped off and Dr Lily & team were hiding behind the shield of 'this is Chinese medicine, 100% organic and natural so it may take months and months for you to feel the positive effects'. I followed the recipe for 4 months and quit; now I simply consult a combination of family, friends and GPs to arrive at my own conclusion. I do not recommend anyone who doesn't believe in the spiritual power of TCM and simply wants results to waste time and energy going to...

I loved my visit, which I made after spending most of a day off watching Don impart an encyclopedic amount of info about tea on his YouTube channel (which is likewise excellent). I then spent at least 2 hours drinking tea, and realising that it is a very affordable treat, then another 90 mins browsing and choosing a treasure trove of teas to take home and talking with the wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful staff who were all equally lovely and fun. What a place! I cannot recommend that you visit here enough, seriously. I also cannot wait to have the time to return - Mei Leaf has allowed me to discover tea in entirely new ways and I a very very grateful 😍 I completely love and respect what you guys do. So good in every way.

Update (...some time later): I still come here as often as possible. I've been coming here for 1 or 2 years now and I still love the place, the people and their awesome teas! Mei Leaf gets 11 out of 5 🌟 every...

If Willy Wonka retired and swapped chocolate for tea, I’m convinced he opened this place. The shelves are lined with more tea varieties than I have socks at home (and I hoard socks). The staff aren’t just friendly—they’re tea wizards in disguise. Ask them about oolong and you’ll get a TED Talk, a history lesson, and probably a spiritual awakening. The highlight, though, was the Tibetan butter tea. Imagine drinking a cup of tea that went to the gym, bulked up on dairy, and decided to hug your insides. It’s salty, it’s buttery, it’s slightly confusing—but in the best possible way. Honestly, it tastes like what you’d want on a mountain top at 4,000 metres while befriending a yak. I came for “just one cup,” left with a shopping bag of loose-leaf treasures and the vague sense that I now belong to a secret society of tea drinkers. 10/10 would sip again.

Nice and extensive choice of teas. Personnel is very motivated helping you with any questions and will guide you through brewing and tasting your tea. Being just an assortment of their cheaper products, the teaware available for you to use is not the best and most refined. As an owner of a few higher priced pots myself, especially the choice of a large-volume glass-pot for my first gongfu session there was a bit of a dissapointment. As I found out, you have to ask in advance if you want one of the more suited clay pots. Atmosphere could be calmer since the tasting rooms are shared with a somewhat busy traditional Chinese health center with patients and doctors wandering through the place. All in all still a great experience, would definitely go again!

I had a wonderful experience here. After a stressful day at work, I stopped by without much of a plan, just hoping to find some peace and relaxation. The staff went above and beyond to help me. I asked for a variety flight but wasn’t sure what I wanted, so they kindly guided me through the options and made some great recommendations. I’m really grateful for their patience and understanding—they made the whole experience so calming. This place is such a peaceful escape in the middle of a busy area, and it’s been great for my mental health to have a spot like this to unwind. Thank you for creating such a welcoming and serene environment, and the teas were just what I needed. Picture from my visit the next day.
