If I could I would give this place negative reviews. First of all we got given wrong information by the worker and he told us not to get the family platter and told us to order all single dishes so we would get discount. Once we ordered the single dishes we where the told that the discount does not apply to us. ( Seems like a scheme to me to squeeze more money out of us). Instead of taking accountability they made it seem as if me and my friends where the ones who made the mistake. The manager tried to belittle us and even went ahead and called us stupid and said we were taking advantage of them (which doesn’t make any sense as they where the ones in the wrong). After this incident took place we where continuously harassed with phone calls by the establishment, where they claimed to be the manager of the entire sushi co company and even told us they where the HR department (which was lies). They continuously told us to take down the review, and in return they would refund us for our horrible experience. They still haven’t refunded us hence why I am making this review to let you know how horrible and unprofessional that establishment was. P.S- The chicken was also raw but we...
Read moreThis was my first time at The Sushi Co and it's certainly not going to be my last. It is fully halal and has an amzing range of menu items! The camden branch recently opened last month and the service was amazing, particularly, Sri, who was so attentive and great!
Me and my brother got the super saver meal deal (lunch time offer) for £12.99 which included a hot meal, homosaki and a drink. An absolute bargain! In regards to the food, you could immediately tell the homosaki was fresh which was great. My brother ordered a chicken katsu curry, and the curry sauce had a lot of depth and flavour (which I find lacking in most places), and the serving was massive! I got takoyaki (octopus balls) and the texture was just right and paired nicely with the unagi sauce.
Throughout our meal, Sri, made sure to check on us and even offered more curry sauce with the chicken katsu.
The decor had a cool and pleasing aesthetic to it and the ambience was nice overall.
In terms of value, quality and range, The Sushi Co, is so much better than wasabi sushi bento and the likes in my opinion.
I would highly recommend if you're in the area and...
Read moreA hidden gem in Camden, this is one of the best sushi places in London, with great service and amazing food. We had the crispy prawn bao as a starter and it was delicious, so juicy and flavourful.
Their sushi rolls incredibly good as well. We we went for the red dragon roll, spicy salmon crunch roll, salmon avocado eel roll, ebi panko roll, and the salmon avocado uramaki. The presentation was beautiful and the fish was fresh and very high quality.
On top of that, the service was outstanding, especially our waiter Sri. He was super attentive and even gave us some salmon nigiri on the house, which was a nice gesture.
Another thing I really liked is that when we got the bill they asked us if we wanted to include the service charge or not. Of course, we gladly paid it because we were so happy with the service, but this is something that usually doesn’t happen in London, as the majority of the restaurants just add it to the bill directly.
It was also quite affordable given the amount of food we ordered, so we will definitely come back and I recommend...
