Monterre Restaurant & Bar - Battersea — Restaurant in London

Me and my partner came out to battersea for a spontaneous trip. We decided we wanted to go out for dinner and upon a google search was captivated by this restaurants looks and modern aesthetics. When we arrived one of the waiters held the door open for us (which was a lovely touch) and we were asked if we had booked. We said no and despite having a heavy booking schedule they went through the effort of finding us a place. We were seated and the waiter was an absolute joy to talk to. The menu was lovely, maybe a little over complex but however I got the impression that that’s what they thrive for in their establishment so it really wasn’t an issue the lady was also very knowledgeable about the food on the menu which was an added bonus as she pointed us in the right direction of what would be a good choice for me. Food was lovely and we didn’t leave hungry or dissatisfied. My only issue is we weren’t asked about allergies when we were seated I went up to the desk and informed them about my peanut allergy (in their defense they may have asked when it came to ordering however I didn’t really want to take the risk of looking at a menu and not knowing what I can and cannot have before hand). Upon leaving the same waiter opened the door and let us out and told us to have a good evening. Would eat here again when we next visit battersea. Didn’t catch the waiters name but I overheard him saying to another couple that he had been there about a month…absolute credit...

What a gem. I had dinner at Monterre tonight and everything was genuinely exceptional. The space feels both elegant and welcoming, with just the right lighting and energy. You walk in and immediately feel like you’re in good hands.

Every dish we tried was full of flavour. The starters were fresh and balanced, the pizza had a perfect crust with generous toppings, and both the chicken and lamb mains were incredibly tender and seasoned to perfection. But the real standout for me was the truffle potatoes. You could tell they used real truffle, not just oil, and the flavour was rich without being overpowering.

The wine list also deserves a shoutout. Thoughtfully curated, and the glass we had paired beautifully with the food. Service was friendly, attentive and confident. You’d never guess they just opened. The whole team seems to care deeply about what they’re doing, and it shows.

This place is going to be big. Battersea needed something like this, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly...

Lovely place! Friendly service as soon as we walked in and we had a really nice attentive waitress. Also spoke to the owner Marco before leaving about having a small gathering here as we thought the food & drinks were very tasty and fresh. The vibe/design of the restaurant is also impressive and clearly well thought about so all in all perfect for something we have coming up. Although it wasn't overly busy (it was a Tuesday eve and it's a new restaurant!) there is a nice chilled atmosphere and we liked the music to!
