Mr Francatelli — Restaurant in London

My wife and I ate here during our recent trip to London, and we both thought that this was the best Italian food that we have had. The staff was incredible, and it was clear that they take great pride in their food and restaurant.

The overall experience was so good that, despite our limited time in London, we cancelled a dinner reservation that we had at a more well-known restaurant in London so that we could have a second meal here with the rest of my family. Once again, the food and experience was incredible and everyone loved their meals. Additionally, I was impressed that the staff remembered my wife and I from our earlier dinner there. I wish I remembered everyone's name so that I could individually thank them in this post.

A rare case of I see what restaurant is near where I am, rather than plan a particular restaurant to visit, but wow, definitely going back.

Best steak I've had outside of a specific steak-house or steak-famous country, rest of the food was great, my parents loved their fish, well filleted (totally boneless bass), and grilled to perfection, my wife and I had calamari starter and it was impeccable too. Her salmon pasta was perfect, fresh pasta with tasty sauce.

Waiters were on point, service when service was wanted, never waiting to be seen to, but never too heavy handed or interrupting dinner.

Only area to improve (to my taste), would be a broader beer selection. Just a couple of Italian lagers is no longer representative of Italian beer, and there could have been some better options to go with my...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mr. Francatelli in London, and it exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is refined yet inviting, setting the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The service was exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly.

As for the food, each dish was a true standout. The spicy prawns were a perfect starter, with the prawns cooked to perfection and a delightful kick from the spice, complemented by fresh, zesty flavors. The pizza was a highlight, with a beautifully crispy crust and the right balance of spicy salami and tangy tomato sauce, making every bite a delicious experience. To round out the meal, the Amatriciana pasta was simply exquisite— homemade pasta and crispy pancetta.
